The most bizaare, un-intuitive Preferred Move?

Recommended Posts

So, when playing around with the editor I found this as the very last possible Preferred Move:

Plays ball with feet

So.... What does this actually represent? I mean, it's a good trait for a footballer but I have no idea what it actually means!

Anyone know?

A guess would be a goalkeeper more adapt to having the ball at his feet? Dropping the ball down before kicking it long? Guesswork, but it's all I can think of.

I literally don't understand the point of the trait of, moving the ball to the foot before dribbling. Its neither helpful, beneficial and serves no purpose whatsoever.

Does it need to serve a purpose though? I assume it's largely meant to be an aesthetic trait that reflects how players act in real life. Someone like Arjen Robben for instance - a career of cutting in off the right flank, body positioned in a certain way, with ball glued to the left foot before making his decisive move either cutting inside or going on the outside.

We'll probably be seeing more of these in the future as the ME/Graphics/Coding continues to improve and evolve, not necessarily to 'improve' a player/gameplay, but purely as a better and more varied representation of what we see happen in real life.

Does it definitely say 'Plays ball with Feet' and not 'Plays Ball to Feet'?

The second one makes sense - ie a player who keeps the ball on the deck and plays a pass to his target rather than into space. But the first one - not a clue!

Plays ball with feet. maybe means he'll always use only feet. I remeber some folk, he wouldn't touch ball with head even in madness. Would simply avoid the ball if can't manage it with feet. Had some trip about kicking ball with head could give him head damage or something. Maybe something like that, never uses head or other parts, just feet...
