I was going to start this on full fat FM but with it already being mid-September it may be best to try this on FMT. I've gotten bored of winning everything in the Cook Islands so I'm now starting unemployed in Singapore until I win everything that Singapore has to offer before moving on to Hong Kong since they're the next highest reputation league in the game. I'll have three countries loaded at a time until we reach the final 3 countries of Italy, England & Spain.

Garena Young Lions logo.png

Young Lions Football Club (known as Garena Young Lions under a sponsorship deal with internet and mobile platform company Garena from the 2016 season) is a professional football team based in Singapore. The team is under the direct control of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), but is managed as a football club and has competed in Singapore's top club competition – the Singapore Premier League – since 2003. The Young Lions are one of the few football clubs in the world which place an age restriction on team members while playing in a top-flight professional league. Most of the Singaporean members in the Young Lions squad also represent the country in under-23 international tournaments.

The Young Lions play their league matches at the Jurong West Stadium. Their best S.League finish was third, which they achieved in 2004 and 2006.

By entering the Young Lions into the S.League, the FAS hopes to expose young players to top-level competition, thus helping to prepare them for international tournaments such as the Southeast Asian Games. While the bulk of the Young Lions squad is made up of members of Singapore's national under-23 team, the club also takes in promising young foreign players (e.g. Luka Savić). However, foreign players are normally only recruited into the Young Lions squad if they could potentially change their nationality to Singaporean and be eligible to play international football for Singapore at some point in the future.

At least we didn't finish last, we're already losing 8 players when the transfer window opens so we could be in for a tough year next year.

Glad you are doing this save! Will be tuning in! Best of luck!

Quick question: Do you have to win the lower leagues of countries once you get to countries that have lower league and lower league cups? Also what are you going to do in Brazil with all the state leagues?

Thanks TP!

I will be doing the lower leagues and cups of countries as well, still undecided on Brazil though due to the big array of state leagues, and the fact that every Brazilian club in the top three tiers has a 3-letter abbreviated name.

There is a name fix for the three letter abbreviations.

The Young Lions cannot qualify for continental competitions due to the fact they exist primarily to develop the young players in the country, meanwhile Niigata Unicorn (Singapore) and DPMM are foreign teams in the league and so they won't qualify for continental competitions as well. You might have to change clubs to play continentally...

Thanks for that Minty, I'll definitely be looking to leave then!

Warriors F.C. Logo.png

Warriors Football Club is a Singaporean professional football club that last played in the Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. Before they officially changed their name on 20 January 2013, they were previously known as the Singapore Armed Forces Football Club (SAFFC) since their establishment on 16 February 1996. Despite their name back then, membership of the Armed Forces was not a prerequisite for players representing the team, and several international players have played for them.

Using a rhino as club mascot was their second suggestion after the S.League rejected their initial proposal of having a warrior as being out of line with the policy of clubs having animal mascots.

Warriors F.C. is currently the most successful club in the history of the S.League, having won the title a record nine times: in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2014 and finishing second in 4 seasons: 1996, 1999, 2001, 2005 in the 22 years since the inception of the S.League.

The Warriors was based in Jurong Stadium till 2000 before moving to their home ground Choa Chu Kang Stadium in 2001. In light of the preparation of the 2015 SEA Games, the Warriors had to vacate Choa Chu Kang Stadium and will instead play their home matches at the Woodlands Stadium for the 2015 season instead. Warriors will move to their Jurong East Stadium in 2019 season and shared with Albirex Niigata Singapore FC.

We win the league unbeaten and despite an early loss to Niigata Unicorn (Singapore) we managed to win the Singapore Cup as well! Now we just have the Community Shield to win before we can try to move on to Hong Kong.
