deez0r
The Save Having struggled to get into a save since the unfortunate bug in my Burton Albion game I have looked around to try and get back into the game again! I have decided to do a normal save but with focus again on developing youth and bringing in young players! The Team Well as I enjoyed Burton Albion so much I have decided to stick with the Albion. This time Albion Rovers who are predicted dead last in the lowest playable Scottish League! The Manager Badges based on Albion Rovers so nothing to special here! deez0r
The Squad Our squad is very limited. I would say we only really have around 4 "good" players. So this will be a challenge. We are very light up top but do have 2 very good centre halves for this level! Best Players These are our best players. Howe is a solid defender who will be utilised in the centre rather than right back. McAlister unfortunately is only in on loan but is the best player at the club, Graham will be utilised as part of my deep lying playmaker role! Finances Finances understandably for a semi-pro team are poor and we are already over our wage budget which is not great when trying to bring in better players! deez0r
Pre-Season & August 2019 Results League Table Betfred Cup Tunnocks Cup Player Review - Aron Lynas Transfers In All signings up to McAlister were before my arrival. McCourt comes in as our start left back. Very solid player for this level with room to improve. Previously of Raith Rovers Higgins was the first of 2 strikers we brought in as it was an area we are poor in. He comes in as one of the starting strikers with solid potential. Foy is more one for the future. Playing in our reserves currently but I may call him up as backup to the first team if we get injuries and suspensions. The first of 3 foreign players we brought in. We were struggling on the wings so Martin comes in to help us and will start on the right hand side. Previously played at Dundee Utd. Umar is my favourite signing of the summer. He has 7 goals in 8 games since his arrival. Previously of Ballymena over in Northern Ireland. Another former Raith player Osei comes in and will be utilised on the left wing. Has had a really solid start since his arrival! Out Nothing too major here. All outgoings prior to East where before my arrival. 4 players left on free transfers mainly to get their wages of our budget and they weren't really going to threaten the first team. Greene ironically knocked us out of the Tunnocks Cup! See and Wilson were surplus to requirements.
deez0r
September 2019 - November 2019 Results We have been fantastic this season bar a couple of slip ups (most recently against our closest rivals). Both our strikers have now scored 10+ goals which is great to see and we have 2 other players who have 5 goals as well. Right back Lynas has 9 assists from right back as well so we really our performing as a team! League Table A really good season so far and we are 3 points clear of both Stirling and Queens Park. I think out signings have really helped us push up here and there isn't too much difference in terms of quality in these teams (or even the league above for that matter) Scottish Cup We were lucky to get past Cove Rangers in the first game but played much better in the replay before beating Championship side Partick in the 3rd round helped by them going down to 10 men early in the game. We have Championship side Ayr at home in the 4th round! Player Review - Bryan Wharton Our captain. He brings a bit of experience to a relatively young squad. Performed very well and has scored 2 or 3 worldies this season. 5 goals and 4 assists is a good return from him! Goalkeeper Watch Our goalkeeper Goodfellow has 3 goals from the spot this season you will be glad to hear @Jimbokav1971. Unfortunately I only put the sub keeper on free kicks by mistake. That has been rectified now!
deez0r
Affiliate This could be a very good affiliate for us. It was between them and Aberdeen. deez0r
Youth Intake Preview As our level is so poor at the minute anything that can help us in the short term would be appreciated! Lets see how this goes!
deez0r
December 2019 - March 2020 Results Started out well but a poor run of results in March means we have finally dropped out of first place. Some injuries and suspensions have hit us hard! League Table Our struggles sees us dip into 2nd place for the first time in a long time. Without a win in March we really need to up our game for the run in! Scottish Cup We were very close to the 5th round. Ayr equalised in the 94th minute in the home tie before battering us at their place. Player Review - Jack McCourt McCourt has been very solid since coming in in the summer. 3 goals and 7 assists from left back proves his worth! Transfers In 3 younger players brought in to bulk the squad out. Clark and Granger are both still in the reserves whilst Donaldson has played a few games! Out Fagan was no longer needed so left and joined the amazingly names Bo'ness Utd!
deez0r
Youth Intake 2020 - Part 1 - Overview On paper a decent intake but our current quality of squad is so poor that any intake would look good. I have signed all of those I have tagged. Now lets take a look at PA vs PPA... This isn't bad. When you look at our current average CA is probably somewhere in the low 60's then we have good potential here for players to be involved at some point. I would say the top 7 are above our current CA average so could potentially be involved at some point! Those personalities however are absolutely awful. I hope I can do something about that. deez0r
Youth Intake - Part 2 - The Players YP20A - Stewart Hunter Has really good potential and will be immediately called up to the first team. We are short in centre midfield so he should get some minutes before season is over. YP20B - John McMillan Another with good potential above our current ability in the first team. At this level decent finish and decent acceleration can be deadly so he could get some minutes as well before end of season. YP20C - Josh Thomson An area of the squad where we dont really have much backup. I dont expect him to get game time this season but he could potentially next season as he develops. Solid stats for a winger in terms of crossing and a bit of pace. YP20D - Stuart McCulloch Another area we are short on. He covers the whole backline which is nice and will be called up to first team but only used as a sub or emergency backup. YP20E - George Quinn Another good striker prospect who is slightly different to our other intake striker. Good dribbling and finishing which could definitely be handy. YP20F - Ryan McFarlane Isn't too great currently but does have good potential. Will continue in reserves to develop. Potential backup left back! YP20G - Lee McCafferty Has some solid stats already and good progress to be a good backup deep lying midfielder. YP20H - Graeme Gibson Will develop in the reserves as we have better intake players in his position currently. Some solid mental stats but rest does need developed. YP20I - Kenny Leitch Will only ever be a 3rd choice keeper. Solid mentally which is always nice but technically not great! YP20J - Jamie Holt Again mentally some very solid stats but his technicals and physicals need a lot of work. If we could work on his marking and heading he may become a decent backup. YP20K - Kenny Bryson Dont think he will ever get into the first team but if we could develop and potentially get a few thousand for him then its a positive. YP20L - Martin Maxwell Similar to the above I am doubtful he will ever get into our first team squad but if we could develop and potentially sell when we go professional then could come in handy. deez0r
End Of Season Results Messed up the screenshot as I had already shown March! We went unbeaten in the last 2 months but a couple of draws prior to the last game of season meant ourselves, Queens Park & Stirling could all still win the league. Did we do enough? League Table Yes both Queens Park and Stirling fail to win on last day but it wouldn't have mattered anyway as we won. Ironically our last goal of the season was scored by our keeper! That should delight @Jimbokav1971! Player Review - Basit Umar He hit his 20th goal in the last day of the season. Him and Higgins between them had 35 league goals! Finances After we won the league we moved into the positive for the first time! Other News More sponsorship money. Anything additional is a bonus! deez0r
Pre-Seaon Results A so so pre-season although we did play well against Championship side Blackburn. Transfers These are the transfer prior to our first game of season, there will be more after that (mainly outgoings) Out 2 players have left so far and both were no longer part of the first team due to the players brought in. We managed to get a fee for a player! There will be more leaving (2 or 3 on loan) before transfer window closes. In We have really utilised that senior affiliate link well! Some decent free transfers (and 1 mistake due to a dodgy scout report) but we are in a much better place now. Transfers A really solid young American midfielder comes in. Formerly of Rangers, this is a good signing. Tapping is a more experienced midfielder and could come in handy. Mainly as backup currently but will get games! Another young midfielder. Previously of Celtic. Really good potential here and will get minutes this season. This is the "mistake" but on further inspection it isn't as bad as I thought. He has solid stats for this level and covers a multitude of positions. Will be a squad player. Our new goalkeeper. He will immediately be on penalties and free kicks! Still not the greatest but better than what we had! Loans McAllister joins us for another season. Performed really well last season and good to have him back! A great loan signing. Comes in as our best defender at the club and will be our starting right back! We are probably overstocked in centre midfield now but he is a very solid young player and will get game time! Really like the look of him. Will be utilised both through the middle and as a winger. Expecting big things of him! I let a lot of our backup strikers leave either on free transfers or loans so we needed another player in. He looks a smashing player for our level and will start up top! We only had 1 left back at the club so he comes in as our new starting full back and will share the position with McCourt.
deez0r
Additional Transfers Out 3 young players go out on loan for experience whilst Scally and Donaldson were no longer required so leave on frees to get them off wage bill.
deez0r
July - October 2020 Results It has been an amazing season. Our signings both loan and permanent have been top quality and it has shown on the pitch. We are scoring. lot of goals and playing some really good football. League Table A 15pt gap is crazy after 12 games. But when you look below no team has won more than 5 games out of 12 apart from ourselves. We have given ourselves a big gap and I would be very disappointed if we dont go up this season and turn professional. Betfred Cup Started off well but the 3 "bigger" teams beat us and out we went. Tunnocks Cup We have had a mixed bag of opponents here. A SPL reserve team who we battered but only knocked them out on penalties. A non league team who nearly beat our backups and an Irish league team who gave as good as they got. Our next opponents? Barnet! Player Review - Julian Anderson He has been a really good signing for us and has 2 goals and 2 assists in 11 games with an average rating of 7.15! Scoring Goalkeeper Watch Out new goalkeeper in Mason has 4 goals in 19 appearances this season. 3 free kicks and 1 penalty!
deez0r
Personality Watch After our youth intake came in with really disappointing personalities I decided to have a look at look at the first team to see if this exists throughout the club. What a found, however, is that our first team (even though 5 or 6 loans) has a really solid personality base. There is not 1 "bad" personality in the first team which is amazing. Our overall squad personality is fairly determined which again is nice to see!

deez0r
November 2020 - February 2021 Results Amazing run of form here with just the one loss in the league and the loss to QotS in the Scottish Cup! I was very close to selling Umar at end of summer transfer window as I brought in some good strikers. But he has forced himself back into the team and hasn't looked back. Currently the top scorer in the league comfortable and has 10 more goals than our next top scorer in Osei. Our 2 full backs between them have 30 assists! League Table A matter of time, cannot believe how comfortable we have been this season (predicted 4th). 1 more win seals it! Scottish Cup Awful. We battered them but couldn't put the ball in the net. I was hoping for a mini run here to get some funds. It wasn't to be. Tunnocks Cup We beat Barnet and then a great win away at Raith means we will play Dunfermline in the final! Player Review - Will Graham Graham has been fantastic for us last season and this. 3 goals and 4 assists from his deep lying role and an average rating of 7.12! Scoring Goalkeeper Watch Mason is now up to 8 goals for the season now!
deez0r
Youth Intake So nothing too special here which is expected as our facilities aren't great at all. Hopefully a couple of squad players. I have only signed 4 players (those I have tagged). Lets have a look at PA vs PPA. One good PA here which is a new goalkeeper which is good. He will play the rest of the season as we are comfortably ahead! the others might not make it at the club but could become squad players! YP21A - Anton Gibson I do like the look of Gibson. Already has solid stats for a goalie. I will play him as starter (and set piece master) for rest of this season. YP21B - Iain McDonald Really solid finishing and some decent mentals. I may give him some game time for rest of season to hasten his development! YP21C - Neil Millar Not bad but again it may be development and sell on for a profit. YP21D - Kieran Donaldson An area we are short in and I dont think he is the answer but again lets develop him and see!

deez0r
End Of Season Results We stuttered at the end but I did try and give some young players game time after we had already won the league! League Table An amazing season for us. Comfortable winners as most teams struggled early on. Queen Of The South bounced back a bit near the end! Tunnocks Cup Our first final saw us lose (undeservedly) to Dunfermline. We were by far the better team but just couldn't put the chances away! Player Review - Yaw Osei Another solid season from Osei who scored 18 goals and got 5 assists from left wing! Finances We got 125k for winning the league which has come in handy! Still no talk or movement on professional status though! Other News Umar comfortably wins player and young player of the season. McCourt gets goal of the season with a worldie at Monstrose! Mason our new goalkeeper got signing of the season and ended up with 8 goals! Umar won player of the year and also got 31 goals in the league which wont him top goalscorer. We have double our sponsorship for next season. Again it isn't much but every little counts.
deez0r
Pre-Season & August 2021 inc. Part 1 Transfers Results Another great start to the season. As you will see below from the transfers business we did we are a very decent side now for this level although games in terms of chances are a lot tighter. League Table Early on we sit joint top with Raith Rovers! Fingers crossed it continues! Betfred Cup We qualified for the first time ever in this competition winning all 4 games. We drew Arborath on the 2nd round! It was tight but in the end a late extra time goal sent us through to the quarters where we will face......Celtic. Player Review - Fred Yes an FM/CM legend! Physically he has failed off a cliff but those mental and technical attributes are great for this level. He does however retire in December. Will try and convince him to continue that to end of season. He has 5 goals in 10 games! Scoring Goalkeeper Transfers It has been a very busy transfer window both in and out! Out Some tough decisions here. All of those who went out on loan where young players who aren't near the first team currently. In terms of sales we sold a couple of former starters in McCourt, Higgins, Mason and Lynas for nominal fees as they were no longer required. McInoy never really got into the team and was sold to Dundee. Donnelly played decent for us last season but we have brought in more quality now. The others were near the first team. Nice to have made some (if not much) money. Every little counts as we try and push towards professional status. In Will be included in part
deez0r
Transfers Part 2 In A mixture of youth and experience here. deez0r
September - November 2021 Results It has been a very solid few months for us with some great wins. We have had a few slip ups on the way but are performing really well considering we are the only side apart from rock bottom Arbroath who are semi-professional. League Table We are 4pts clear at the top of the table. We are playing very well. I am hoping to keep Fred on for rest of the season for his goals! Betfred Cup Our big game against Celtic went very well and they only narrowly beat us. Tunnocks Cup We progressed to the quarters after beating Linfield on penalties and Derry comfortably 2-0. Despite being much the better team in the quarters we couldn't find that killer goal and where knocked out on penalties. Scottish Cup A good win in the 3rd round means we will play Montrose in the 4th round! Player Review - Kyle Jacobs Jacobs has been playing very well since he came in. He has 1 goal and 7 assists so far! Goalkeeper Watch Laidlow has 7 goals this season and is our 2nd top goalscorer after Fred (who is due to retire in December).

deez0r
December 2021 - March 2022 Results What can I say. Incredible run being driven by Umar's goals. We have been fantastic! League Table Title won after an incredible run! We will play SPL football next season and finally be professional! Scottish Cup We are on a great run in the Scottish Cup. We were comfortable if not clinical against Montrose. Against the 2 SPL sides they both went down to 10 men and we capitalised. We now face Hearts in the semi final! Player Review - Basit Umar I was worried when Fred retired in December as he was our top goalscorer and I couldn't find a suitable replacement in January. I shouldn't have worried Umar who has been fantastic in the lower leagues for us has stepped up in a big way. He has 17 goals in 19 starts now and has fired us to the title! Goalkeeper Watch Laidlow has now hit double figures. He has 10 goals this season! Transfers Just the one signing in January but it was a very good one. Eboue comes in on a free, previously of Celtic where he played 14 times for them. A very good player for a team of our level.

deez0r
Youth Intake 2022 As expected nothing major here. I have only signed the top 2 players as with us moving into the SPL next season our calibre of player should go up a fair bit. Both players signed have a PA of over 100 and Cherrie (YP22A) has been called up to be our sub goalkeeper as current 2nd choice Gibson (YP21A) refused to sign a new contract and has been poached by Dundee! YP22A - Jim Cherrie Really solid starting stats for a goalkeeper. He will play backup and get some games where he can. YP22B - Ian Gibson I quite like the look of Gibson but whether he will ever develop into a first team player I am not sure. Really good mental stats and good tackling, finishing and technique also!
deez0r
Scottish Cup Final It was always going to be a massive ask but the sending off completely ended any chance we had of competing. An amazing season for us though!
deez0r
End Of Season Results Another good end to the season. Some rotation done prior to the Celtic game. League Table Another amazing season. Started off quite up and down before a crazy run of form seen us pull away! Scottish Cup As previously seen we made the Scottish Cup final after sneaking by Hearts. Unfortunately in the final a red card really did us out! Player Review - Jordan Rossiter Our highest rated player this season. He got 5 goals and 6 assists and his average rating was 7.33! Goalkeeper Watch Laidlow ended up with 12 goals this season which is a great return and backup keeper Cherrie (YP22A) scored 1 goal in 3 appearances! Other News A small increase to our stadium which should hopefully help with some gate receipts. We are still a very small club but this is a small step to becoming a bigger more established club.
