So, I am guessing all of you know about the "City Football Group" which is owned by Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This group essentially owns the following football teams around the world:

Manchester City F.C. (England), New York City FC (USA), Melbourne City FC (Australia), Yokohama F. Marinos (Japan), Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay), Girona (Spain), Sichuan Jiuniu (China), Mumbai City FC (India), Lommel SK (Belgium), Troyes AC (France).

Now, I have an idea that I was thinking about and it's basically to make a new group of teams around the world. I am guessing this would have something to do with the affiliate system or something but would there be a way to somewhat "secure" the club from getting taken over without it being a sugar daddy and all that?

if I have missed some detail that are necessary let me now.

Appreciate all help here, thanks a lot!

I've literally just written a brief guide to the affiliated clubs system in a different topic. I'll link it to you below. Basically what you need to do is create a network of feeder clubs and normal affiliated clubs all attached to a main club. These affiliations need to be permanent (so they don't get removed if they're not being used), and I'd presume you'd want the teams to all share the same board. Take a look at Man City's affiliations to see how this is done.

As for stopping takeovers, your best bet is probably to edit the chairman's attributes to make them unlikely to sell.

Here's the other thread:
