john e bastille
Dear Football Family, I'm working on a pet research project, using FM16 as a theoretical model. Question: Is it possible to separate players by skill level simply by tracking their win/loss ratio only over a number of games (when they play on randomised teams)? And if it is possible, how many games does it take to do it? Method: 1. Create 220 players of graduated skill (20 players in each position ranging from skill of 1 to 20). 2. Create 20 identical clubs. 3. Randomly assign the 220 players among the clubs. 4. Play a round of matches (10 matches in total). 5. Record the results. 6. Update W/L ratio for each individual player. 7. Repeat from step 3 until the W/L ratio of the best and worst players remain 3 standard deviations from the mean. As you can see, step 3 is the most arduous step. It involves randomly assigning 220 players to 20 clubs. I have no expertise in script writing, and I'm wondering if anyone could advise or devise a script that would automate this step in FM16 Editor. Thank you for your attention.
