Amunt
I manage Valencia and Im in summer 2024. Recently there were rumors that a "Consortium" was gonna take over the club. As you probably know the billionaire Peter Lim owns the club and is listed as "Owner". The first thing I noticed was in Board requests were I now communicated with the President(Anil Murthy). I tried searching in FMRTE(you can find Owners there) and realized Peter Lim was gone. Dead? Whatever. So the club got taken over by, actually the old President, Amadeo Salvo who pushed for the club to pick Peter Lim as the buyer and not Chinese Wanda. I wonder if this is a good thing? "Valencia have been delisted from the Stock Exchange" What does that mean? A bad thing financially or good? All Singaporeans that worked for Lim left the club when Salvo took over. New directors etc. I actually don't have anything against it I think its pretty cool that actually Amadeo Salvo took over the club again. The other "Consortium" was another spanish President/Chairman(not owner). So two parties compeeting for the takeover. BUT, I am thinking about loading my autosave when Peter Lim is still there and use FMRTE to swap him with a Owner on Free transfer. I know thats cheating, dont discuss that please. If this takeover/change is GOOD for the clubs economy, I'll keep going with this file. If its bad, I'll have an alternative file to switch Owner before it happens. john1
Of course it's a good thing if you get consortium It depends how much they are willing to invest in the club
Amunt
Nice. President Salvo is a Valencia-supporter(100 in FMRTE) and loves the club it says. I got offered a 5-year contract now so seems like a stable board. Also that the club got removed from the stock exchange I guess means we dont have to pay the sharehoulders money after each season or what? Will it go to the presidents own pocket or into the club? fivetwelvepony
I had a takeover where the new owners increased my transfer budget from $10m to $30m. That was nice. But it was the MLS, and with all the roster rules and salary cap I was actually finding it hard to spend the money.

It's like people can buy share from the club, so taking off stock exchange means they can't. And yes you still pay shareholders every season. And I think it goes into the club. Amunt
This takeover was a good one in my oppinion. If you are familiar with the IRL-sale of Valencia, Salvo is a key man. He gave stability to the club before Peter LIm came and is a true Valencia-supporter(100 in FMRTE). Basically it said in FM that he wanted to take over because another Consortium wanted to buy the club and hire a new manager and kick me after all my work. Everything working fine right now. We will see if a new investor will take over in the future
