Patfan1991
Hi, I have a question How important is it for a player to be playing on the left/right side of a pitch? Does it affect how the players pass the ball/dribble significantly? Thanks

For example if you are playing with a ball playing defender the defender is going to invite pressure so you always want to play him on the side of his preferred foot. If you are playing with a no nonsense centre back the preferred foot is less important since he is going to punt the ball long anyways.

Players have a tendency to get the ball onto their stronger foot, which means your left winger could end up cutting inside regardless of his instructions, if he is strictly right footed. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since it can create some nice variation, but it's important you're aware of it. If you want someone stretching the play and hugging the line at all times, you need to make sure he's playing on the correct side, for example. However if most of your assist are coming from a particular side, you might want to consider it to maximize your chances of scoring.
Patfan1991
Does preferred foot create any advantage in defensive if a CD is left footed and is put on the right side to defend a right footed player or vice versa?
