Editing Cup Rules

Hi everyone - I'm brand new to the pregame editor and still trying to wrap my head around it. I'm trying to figure out how to change the rules to a cup competition in FM20 (like extra time/replays) - is there a simple way to do this, or would a whole new cup have to be created to replace the existing one? Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

If it's a cup competition that's already in the game then you can edit it using the advanced rules. Click 'Add Nation Rules' then select the country you wish to add rules to and press 'Convert to Advanced Rules'. Then go to the cup you wish to edit and you can edit fixture rules etc there.
