Board buying players without my knowledge

So, I went on holiday at the end of season, a takeover happened and the new board just splashed out 108m on Ousmane Dembele and completed the transfer without me having any say. 

Is there any board interaction I can do, to say stop making stupid decisions like that? Considering I already have better less injury prone wingers and other areas of the team that that money would have been more useful strengthening?

Unfortunately that's a mandatory feature involving takeovers and elections. Unless you use in-game editor and make the player unwilling/unable to join there's nothing you can do to prevent the transfer.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't expect to be able to prevent it (I was on holiday anyway so I didn't even notice a bid had been made). I was more interested in interacting with the board to tell them to stop it moving forward

It only happens at the point of a takeover luckily, You got away lightly in that they only bought one player

Yeah they tried to get Ruben Diaz too but it didn't come off. At least it is a damn good player. Just not one I would have felt the need to buy this time round. Cheers

It shouldn't count against your transfer budget. As already mentioned, if you don't want the player, you can move him back to his former club with the In Game editor, or anywhere for that matter.
