Newgen faces

I was watching one of Lollujo's videos today, and in it he featured FM09.  I was staggered to see, that at least to my eye, the newgen faces were better and more realistic then than they are now!

I'm not trying to bash the game, as in pretty much every other respect the game is miles better now than it was then, but I was wondering how this feature had gone so badly backwards?

Yep.  When SI chose to implement 3D faces only for newgens it killed the excellent 2D newgens the system already had.  It's too bad they won't go back to the old model.  The 3rd party mod community even made it better.

I think that SI intends that the faces of the newgen will age with the passage of time and that the face reflects the mood of the player.
