shaunvamos
October 2021 A much better month from our perspective. I feel like our FA Cup run is over as we are facing League 2 Dag & Red away. But the good news is that we are picking up results in the league, and every point brings us closer to survival. shaunvamos
November 2021 You know it's been a poor month when the only game you win is an FA Cup game. You also know its a bad month when your keeper is the top scorer. @Jimbokav1971 has this dubious honour ever happened to you? Anyway, we have fallen into very dangerous territory. I'm considering changing my tactics, but my stubbornness is holding me back.

shaunvamos
January 2022 Ugh, it's not getting better. I've almost accepted that we are going down. Transfers In Frazier Campbell (Huddersfield): He was brought in to fix our scoring woes. He has done well so far, scoring zero in 10 apps. What a waste. Will Lancaster (Barnsley): At this point I was just bringing in players that were rated high enough to be a first team player. Jay Walsh (Accrington): See above. Transfers Out Another League 2 team takes one of our players.
shaunvamos
February 2022 I abandoned the change of tactics and went back to the original one with CMs instead of DMs, and we won! We were robbed of a result against Concord in stoppage time. But we are definitely trending upwards, our possession is consistently in the opposing half and we have had more CCCs than our opponents. I know that doesn't mean much, but I'm clinging to anything and everything.
shaunvamos
2022 Intake This is the first intake I've been happy with. Four 5* prospects, and 2 with very favourable personalities. This is also the first time where virtually every player fits into my system. The ones that will be accommodated of course, but I obviously won't have to try as hard. I'm a bit unsure what to do with the Irishman. It's clear he must've lived most of his life in Guiseley, but he wasn't born there or within the 30 mile radius. I think I will probably keep him, but if someone wants him they can have him. Just in case he turns out good, perhaps a sell on fee. Mitch Battersby 3A*: This guy looks a real gem. Already at 2*, he becomes the number 6 choice at striker. He should carve up at youth level. I'm really excited to see how he develops. Nicky Chambers 3B*: Another 5* PA striker with a good personality,he seems to have the makeup for a setup man rather than a finisher. Luke Rothwell 3C: There's a lot to like about him, and certainly massive room for improvement.
shaunvamos
March 2022 We started winning again! Funnily enough, by scoring goals. That run of form in between our 2 losses has taken us off the bottom of the ladder, and perhaps a slight chance of avoiding relegation. I'm fairly sure our 2 games in hand are our next 2, against Boreham Wood and Sutton United. How lucky is that? The team directly above and below us. The good news is if we win both puts us mathematically out of the drop zone. The bad news is if we drop points to them we can pretty much wave goodbye to the National League. I mean I'd love it to be a walk in the park so I don't have to be worried about relegation or anything, but as you said, struggles are more realistic. Probably why I also set those transfer restrictions, as realistically a player would only consider moving to a club as small as ours if he lived or was based in the general vicinity. shaunvamos
April 2022 We got the hard part done against Boreham Wood and Sutton United to move us out of the relegation zone. We then followed the script as we lost our next 4 matches, putting us back in the relegation zone. With one game to play, we had to beat Aldershot, knowing that if Woking did the same to 9th placed Kidderminster we'd be back to the regional National Leagues. We got our end of the deal done, through Frazier Campbell who despite being largely disappointing seemed to turn up at the right moment. But was it enough? Just. Kidderminster beat Woking 1-0 to confirm our existence in the National League for at least another season. Despite being flogged consistently and looking down and out, the boys managed to turn things around. Hopefully we can begin to attract some better quality players to avoid scratching and clawing our way to survival.

shaunvamos
2022 Preseason A much better preseason, one not seen since my first season. We received an expected flogging by Leeds, but a very respectable draw against Bradford that saw us blow a 2 goal lead in stoppage time. But I don't mind that at all. Transfers I thought I went a bit wilder than this. I extended the loans of Walsh and Guilfoyle, who both made my team of the season last year. Danny Philliskirk (Oldham): Signed him as a dual role player at AM and ST. Hopefully this decline doesn't continue. Brodie Holmes (Barnsley): A depth option at CM. Tom Scott (Leeds): This is my prize piece of this window. Recently released from Manchester City, he is a whole star better than our next best keeper. Jeremy Ashforth (Bradford): Looking to him to anchor our midfield. He definitely has the ability for it. Matty Downing (Leeds): I finally have a pacy CB! I really need to sign more of those as slow CBs with our high line get punished big time. Season Preview We are still predicted to get relegated, but our odds have improved massively. Last season we were predicted 23rd at 176.00. So hopefully our improved odds have been reflected in our transfers, and therefore our results on the pitch. shaunvamos
August 2022 An extremely busy start to the season saw us begin with a bang against Morecambe, burying them in the first half. We followed that with a good win against Macclesfield, before a few average results brought the team back down to earth. However, that big win over Bromley is definitely a good way to end the month. Transfers Mason Whelan (Accrington): Just the one player in this month, and he adds to our pace at the back. With he and Downing at the back we should have a much better time neutralising counter attacks.

shaunvamos
September 2022 A fantastic month, perhaps proving that our opening wasn't a fluke. Thanks mate, it does look like we have a good chance of staying up and staying up comfortably this season barring a massive meltdown. I agreethat hopefully we can poach too, but I don't recall the new features saying that can happen. It would be good though as it can technically supplement any youth coming in from a feeder club which would add to the realism a bit.

shaunvamos
February 2023 Can't really complain about this month, except we blew another cup game to theoretically inferior opposition. shaunvamos
2023 Youth Intake A fairly weak intake, but there's one guy that could turn into something good. Luckily, he is able to play CM. Jay Jones 4A: He does look laden with potential, but he'll have to train at CM. Chris Kemp 4B: New keepers are always welcome, even if he may not play for us for a while. Nial Beacher 4D*: Perfectionist personality, and he'll have to use that to conform to my tactics. shaunvamos
2023 Preseason An excellent preseason, even drawing against Huddersfield, Birmingham & Leeds! Transfers We released a lot of deadwood, shedding nearly 5k from our wage commitments, to be redirected towards some new faces. Our foray into the transfer window isn't over, I'm still on the hunt for a striker. Dean Vasey (Leeds): I had the bright idea of scouting everyone from Yorkshire clubs who had youth contracts set to expire and he was the only one that was good enough. An exciting prospect. Jeremy Ashforth (Bradford): You've seen him here on loan, and now he's here to stay full time. A big buy for us. Callum Shuttleworth (Huddersfield): Another midfielder with a lot of potential, picked up from Barnsley.Max Baker (Harrogate): His ability to play WB is why he's here. I hope his physical skills benefit us. Matty Wolfe (Wakefield): Another CM because, you know, you can never have enough. Season Preview I'm very happy with 11th, perhaps we can go on and push a little further up?

shaunvamos
October 2023 A decent month, despite the fact that we are out of the FA Cup too early against a team we should've beaten. shaunvamos
December 2023 A busy, but unbeaten month to end the 2023 calendar year. Our attack seems to have firmed up and Morton is beginning to show promise, scoring 3 this month. Knocking on the door of the playoffs, but I'm not expecting us to enter that sacred top 7. Ashforth proving to be a good option to sign after being released from Sheffield United. Morton sneaks in there at 3rd too.
