TheLutterworthFox
2022/23 Review - Karşıyaka Spor Kulübü A very quick review for you all. After a shocker of a start we have somehow managed to end the season in 10th place Really good seeing as after 7 games we had 1 point! Transfers One of my star intake players from the 2022 intake left, the board went over my head and sold Goalkeeper Gundogan to Galatasaray for £400k, rising to just under £1m with add-ons. How did the 2021 Intake Perform? As you can see all of the players got a chance and most did a decent job, the best by far was CM Pehlivan who scored 5 goals and got 5 assists, averaging 7.17. How did the 2022 Intake Perform? Again everyone got a few starts but no one really played well. The best was another CM and that was Aytac who played 12 times and scored twice.

This challenge is probably one of the hardest one you can find, so expect to fail a few times, especially if you are a bit new to tactics and tweaking and such, but it's all part of it. Pretty much everyone posting in here have gotten the sack, or abandoned an attempt because it was impossible to improve, myself included! This challenge is harder than most, simply because you can't buy your way out of problems. So if you have a tactic you like, but lack a good DM, you have to change the tactic (or retrain!) since you can't buy a good one. Basic hints about tactics is mostly trial and error for me. I've failed so many times, so I try to learn what went wrong before trying again. Some quick tips from me are simply to keep it simple. And try to figure out why things are not working rather than change at once. Other things than tactics could be the issue, and especially in FM20 I've found morale to be a big thing. If morale tanks you'll struggle to win. For training, I usually let the AM do the general one, and I'll only do individual myself. I like to train them in the broadest role for each position, except when I have something particular in mind for a player. But I also use spreadsheets and stuff to see if a youth player is more suited to retraining, so I might take the game a bit too seriously! The best advise is simply give it a go. If you want a bit more of an easy start, find a team with good facilities, academy coaching and youth recruitment. That makes intakes much better and you'll have good intakes from the first season on. Also, be prepared to spend a lot of seasons on this challenge. My first (possibly, I can't really remember, one of the first at least) was with Stratford Town. Spent 10 seasons in the regional Vanarama before getting relegated and fired... I like a challenge - think this time it is time for me to actually work it out properly! Thanks for the advice. Previous exploits have been Champions league wins with Braintree, Chelmsford, Bishops Stortford so once I get in to a game I have a bloody good go! How can I tell if a player is better suited to retraining?

KibworthBull
Jalkapalloseura Hercules Season 6 Competitions League Results Cup Results Squad Stats Youth Intake Transfers We went full time at the end of last season and that delivered something positive and something very negative. I'll get the negative out of the way first - Full Time contracts are expensive! We went from players being on £20-£40 a week to being on £220 a week as a minimum so our finances have taken a heck of a hit - we lost nearly £800k between the end of the last season and the end of this season, and that includes a trophy win and a player sale.. The positive is that our players are now getting the coaching that they need so they can develop and on the pitch we are starting to see some real benefit from this. League Runners-Up and Soumen Cup Winners feels like a very good season AND we had a golden generation intake.. Star Players: 1F Teemu Tauriainen - with every year that goes by the fact that i rated him F on the first intake makes me look more and more like a fool - 41 matches and nice and consistent in a defence that kept quite a few clean sheets. 1E Jiri Moisander - someone else from that first year, and Jiri is finally starting to produce some goods. 28 games, 7.25 average rating, and 3rd in the Player of the Year awards. Scored his first goal for the club as well 1A Teemu Syväjärvi - our miserable bugger - he wants to leave so won't discuss a new deal (so is still part time) and thinks he is far better than the rest of the squad - he may not be massively wrong there.. Our Vice Captain, added to his Finland U21 caps, 7.12 from 33 games That's 3 defenders so far so it's clear we kept the ball out of the net well, our downfall for the past couple of seasons is scoring goals, we needed someone to score 15+.. We had 2.. I moved to a 4-1-3-2 formation as I had a couple of very high potential strikers and I wanted to give them game time and this proved to be a masterstroke (if I do say so myself..) 4A Iñigo Casado hit 22 in 33 games - he scored a hatrick and a FOUR - he has also made the step up to the Spanish U20 squad. The final star player from the season is Casado's strike partner - 5A Marko Kinnunen, a quite tidy 18 from 38 games and hasn't turned 18 yet, he got the league player of the month in June and even went 10 hours without scoring - which shows that when he is HOT, the guy is FLAMES We improved the facilities last year and this year we got our 1st golden generation mention in the youth intake - I don't think it's an AMAZING intake but it's a very nice one. One area that I am lacking is a newgen for the RM spot and I may have 2 in this intake. 6A Mikko Rantala has already taken the league youngest Player and Goal Scorer awards in his first 6 matches for the club. My Ass Man reckons he is nearly as good as our main "real boy" RW, he's got some lovely physicals - whippet thin and quick - and his technicals are an OK base to start from. He will be my no.11 next season. Backed up rather well by 6B Jens Rikkinen - Jens may well have a career where he is always in the shadow of Mikko - he is in truth an inferior version currently and his star isn't expected to shine quite as brightly either, but to have 2 talents is not something to moan about. 6C Janne Väisänen - I don't think we really needed another striker with good potential but that is what we have got. Janne has good physicals and 12 Finishing and Composure is better than a good number of strikers at this level already. He'll be back up and may get some games if we get injuries. Final shout out for this update, is a new left back 6G Eetu Leskelä - I know what your thinking, what happened to D, E, and F - they are decent prospects and once they start to play then I will call them out but I really needed some competition for Jiri Moisander and Eetu will give him that stick to keep him improving. Very much nothing to write home about, but the fact he is 3* potential and the 7th best player in the intake, suggests that maybe we might have something special here. Next season is back in Europe and hopefully we can reap some financial rewards, I've also got a lot of squad players now on decent wages so I feel a cull coming. grff
NK Zadar: 2060/61 season review And another 3rd place finish, our fourth in a row. Our league form was inconsistent as we went through phases of struggling to score many goals. A better CL performance as we made the Q/F before losing to Barcelona. The highlight of the campaign was a 6-0 demolition of Juventus. Squad stats with Tomasevic leading the way which helped him win European Golden Boy. Youth intake was a disappointment but I took a fair few on to bolster our numbers. Transfers. Our first choice keeper is about to leave on a free as he refused a new contract after becoming unhappy. Annoyingly he was unhappy at a loan block to a lower league team Our greatest ever midfielder also retired.
XaW
Currently operating at PL level. And his contract is due at the end of the season. Yeah, I don't think I'll be able to get a new one... So I had to sell him. Got £250k + 50% of next sale. I really hope he will be sold for big money! Edited April 22, 2020 by XaW
shaunvamos
NK Podvinci - 2026/27 Season Review | Competitions | Squad | Awards | Overall Best Eleven | Transfers | | Zlatko Maucec 4H | Mario Krajnc 4D* | Sebastjan Klemencic 5D | Last season I said a top 5 finish would be nice. We went real close. Until the last 2 games we were in with a real shot at contending for promotion. Whilst I think it's a little too early for us to make that next step, we have a really solid team at present. Our front 4 are absolutely lethal, three of whom are shown in the links above. We've even managed to hold onto them for next season, and if we can fix our leaky defence (3rd worst), our attack will lift us to promotion or thereabouts. A massive negative is we've reverted back to being semi-pro. We've lost so much cash, and this might mean we lose our players too, because they want fulltime contracts. Youth Intake | Matjaz Golob 7A | Rok Klaric 7B | Zarko Maucec 7C | Three 5* prospects here, and two are in positions where we are seriously short on quality. We really don't need anymore strikers though. Progress Edited April 23, 2020 by shaunvamos

_JHTB_
Oborishte Panagyurishte 2027/2028 Parva League 4th – Championship Group 6th Fixtures (1) -- Fixtures (2) -- Stats -- Awards -- Season Review -- Transfer -- Overall Best XI -- Key Player -- Hot Prospect -- Squad -- Finances An altogether pretty good season for us qualifying for the Champions Group, but as evidenced by our finishing spot we are yet to have the quality to compete in this, but I’m we’re at a stage where we’re probably not at risk of relegation. I was hoping we could do ok in the cup, but for the 3rd year on the bounce quarter finals is all we have to show. This season we scored more goals on the whole which helped out, though some of the goals we conceded were laughable, still less conceded than last year though. Here is who the game deemed to be our best few players this season. Kiril Peshev 5b: Peshev 5b had a solid season for us this year and was one of our top performers even managing to get himself 6 goals for the season, not bad for a centre back until you realise 4 of them were penalties but decent nonetheless. His development slowed a little this season but he’s still part of the first choice centre back parnership Martin Rusev 6a: Rusev 6a is developing nicely and contributed well to the team this year with 8 goals and 7 assists, him and Peshev 5b were the only players at the club to average over a 7 in average rating this year. Itamar Malmilian 5j: Georgiev 1d broke scoring records last season but didn’t really start this season all too well so Malmilian 5j got and contributed 11 goals for the season, due to our intake he may play less next season, but good to know he has goals in him if needed. And here’s my pick for breakthrough player Alex Peshov 7b: For a defender he is really quite short which is an issue, but everywhere else he’s looking pretty solid and based on us having offers of over £1 million for him in each of the two transfer windows since he came through the youth intake it seems he has a pretty decent future ahead. Youth Intake Happy with the intake this year, fewer players with high potential according to our Head of Youth Development but we have two strikers coming through who may have something to offer us in the future as well as an interesting prospect in centre mid that is another area of weakness. Youth intake 2028 – Ones to Watch Mike Forrest 8a: Our second American through the youth system this time at long last a striker in an intake. He has some really nice mental attributes for a striker even if his physical attributes are a bit underwhelming. His finishing is fairly low, but in relative terms it’s good for us, I’m just happy we’ve a striker through who could be alright. Emil Pavlov 8b: Another winger with some promise coming through the intake. I’m not fully convinced on this one as he’s a long way away from being the chosen player on the right, but if he does have the potential the HoYD suggests he should be able to at least challenge for a first team spot so we’ll see. Denis Atanasov 8c: Another striker, not as good mental attribute wise to Forrest 8a, but physically he is better so it will be interesting to see how they shape up against one another going forward. Georgi Angelov 8d: Another position we are a little weaker in is centre midfield so it’s nice to get an ok prospect through. However, his attributes suggest he’s better suited to a playmaker role which the deeper midfielder doesn’t usually occupy in my team so we may have to alter our tactics to fit him in. News/Looking Ahead The board agreed to youth recruitment increase but rejected all other facility related requests citing poor financials which I guess is valid, we did make a loss this season. We are currently close to hitting our stadium capacity in average attendance so it may be before long that we have to ask for a stadium expansion which of course will eat into our finances more. Next season I think is a case of continuing our steady improvement and to maintain the basis of our first choice eleven, Edited April 22, 2020 by _JHTB_
_JHTB_
I should start clicking continue at least once or twice before finishing my review as the board decided that Stadium Expansion couldn't wait Our youth facilities also got downgraded which is a sure to be a setback in youth intakes

Sergey Gerasimov (25b), 16 - Young centre back. Ruslan Yevdokimov (25c), 17 - Young left back who could hopefully begin challenging for a 2nd team spot right away Roman Popov (25d), 17 - Central midfielder who will play in the 2nd team at least next season Off the Field/At a Glance A new top goal scorer (helped with Artemy Ukomskiy no longer at the club), Voronov (21a) once again dominating the players of the year awards and I have now gone up to the Continental C badge. XaW
XaW - Folkestone Invicta - 2028/29 Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances Lost the playoff final last season, but this season we did it! Quite strange actually, this whole season. We did good in the first half, but it was actually after we sold Sinisa Fumic 26a to Norwich we started to do great. From we sold him in January we played 19 league matches, from that we lose once, drew three times and won the remaining 15 matches. So we actually did much better without him. Perhaps the rest of the teams stepped up a bit when he left, but I don't know. We got a bit of a lead towards the end, but even the promotion run in said we were favourites. After we were crowned champions I got a note from the board where they asked if I would like to turn the club professional. I accepted, naturally, so we are going pro before next season. In the FA Cup we beat Weston-super-Mare and Leamington before losing to Southend in the 2nd round. In the FA Trophy we lost to Aldershot in the 1st round. We also played in the Irn-Bru cup this season. We beat Ayr United before losing to Havant & Waterlooville in the 4th round. The youth intake this season were once again very good. I got some fellow Norwegians with loads of talent, which is nice. Jonas Sund 29c is a talented striker, but he can't finish. James Simpson 29d is the best defender we got in, and we need better central defenders. I also learned my lesson from Sinisa Fumic 26a, so I finally got to offer Mamadú Turé 28a a new contract! 3 years, plus a 3 more as an option is great. In addition to him, Dara Lehane 25e had an amazing season in the central midfield role, both scoring and assisting a lot. Alan Martin 26f came back from being out for 7 months with a damaged spine and did amazing. I've also started to phase out my starting goalkeeper, veteran Henry Newcombe, with my best talent between the sticks, Danny Bowman 25f. Not because he is better, but he is talented and Newcombe are starting to get a bit older. The U18s were not in a league this season for whatever reason, but I hope they will be part again next season. They did play in the FA Youth Cup though and they beat Woking, Hereford and Dover before losing to Barnet in the 2nd round. Brother Ben
Stupid question but what do you do if the board accept a bid for a player over your head but loan the player back to you for the rest of the season as part of the deal? To be honest the fact that it's showing as a transfer in on my transfer history is infuriating

Just post pics that prove it and it's fine.
Makoto Nakamura
2036/37 End of Season Review A change in formation leads to our lowest ever goals conceded, the first time we've conceded less than 70! Our wages are low and our attendances are gradually rising, so for the first time, our entire balance is in the positive! Overall Best XI 2036/37 Best XI Giorgos Lefkaritis (YP5d) Tom Johnson (YP6d) - Jason Surridge (YP2d) - Leonardo Ferrante (YP6a) - Alex Cooper (YP3e) Steven Johnston (YP16a) - Hector Lumsden (YP11h) Aboubacar Diallo (YP13b) Michael Bennett (YP2b) Tommy Benson (YP5a) George Godwin (YP13a) 2037/38 End of Season Review Another strong showing and a positive goal difference! shaunvamos
NK Podvinci - 2027/28 Season Review | Competitions | Squad | Awards | Overall Best Eleven | Transfers | | Zlatko Maucec 4H | Mario Krajnc 4D* | Luka Kotnik 1F | After we were forced to revert back to being semi-pro this season, I expected us to have one or two good seasons before our good players started leaving, and basically screwing us and my chances of doing well in this stage. I was half right. A key player left us (Bojan Horvat 4E), but no one else. And they are unlikely to do so next season either. Why? We got promoted! Granted, our season was over but for the last 10 minutes of our last league game, but then we scored two, giving us a win and leapfrogging Bravo to nab the playoff spot. A 2-0 win and 3-2 loss against 1st Division side Koper in the playoff was enough to see us through. Upon entering the top division, we also turn professional again. Our finances are horrible, so I hope that the board don't choose to go back again because I really will not be happy. We had 4 players in the Team of the Year: Filip Novak 1G, Matej Zizek 5A, Kotnik 1F and Maucec 4H. Maucec was also the league's top scorer, with 19, and Krajnc 4D* topped the assist charts with 16. Youth Intake | Anze Dolinar 8A* | David Kozar 8B* | Jurij Topic 8C | What a superb intake. My eyes just lit up when I saw Dolinar. A 4* CA player in a position we desperately need? Get in there. Especially with the departure of Bojan Horvat 4E, who was our only player that could play LW competently. We've really struck gold with this one! He also scored a hat trick and assisted another in our YC's 5-0 win over our U19s Progress Edited April 24, 2020 by shaunvamos
DazRTaylor
End of Season Review Season 2024/25 FC United of Manchester League Table - Despite being very poor at home (twelve league defeats), our amazing away form (fifteen league wins) saw the club qualify for the end of season play offs. Play Offs - Despite beating Chester home and away during the league campaign, they proved too strong in the playoffs, as we lose in the first round, ending our season. League Fixtures 1, 2 & 3 - Strange home form and equally strange, though I don't mind this one, away form. We took one point from twenty one in our last seven home games. F. A. Cup - A dreadful performance at home to mid table League Two side Grimsby Town sent us crashing out in the first round. If nothing else, this shows the gulf between ourselves and the league above. F. A. Trophy - A poor performance as we lost at home to Harrogate Town in the first round, in a replay, having salvaged a draw in Yorkshire. Very disappointing. Pre Season Friendlies - A decent enough set of run outs. Squad - They continue to develop, though we clearly over achieved this season. The squad is now entirely home grown through the academy. Squad Dynamics - As you would expect, it is a big love in. Transfers In - None. Transfers Out - Just the two permanent departures, not counting those released and the obvious highlight is the £2.5m sale of Alan Benson YP22F22 to Reading. Youth Candidates - No superstars but enough potential to be labelled another "Golden Generation". Joseph O'Connell YP25B66 looks like the brightest prospect. Finances - Very healthy indeed, purely down to the sale of Alan Benson YP22F22. Key Players Stuart Bloomfield YP23G39 - The young striker has really stepped up since the departure of Tunde Owolabi. Often deployed on the right wing and finding some success there too. Özer Demir YP22C19 - The left winger continues to go from strength to strength. Although he is over it now, he had a huge sulk on during the season because I blocked a transfer to Football League club, who offered a paltry £12,500. Obi Obi YP22E21 - The right back continues to develop and continues to be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Dean Curran YP21C3 - Centre back who marshalls the defence well. Ryan Jackson YP23E37 - Usually playing the holding midfield role, he continues to improve. Next Season Another play off push. DazRTaylor
So you all know I have been after a second youth only save to compliment FC United, I think it will be in Brazil. Never managed there and it fascinates me. I won't post until I have finished a season as don't want to flood the board!
DazRTaylor
I started with Manaus, who are a new club, formed in 2018. However, their State Championship is rather easy, with all other clubs being non league. I could start again with another club. There is one who comes up quite regularly and their State Championship includes four big top flight clubs, so I won’t be winning it all that often, if at all. What do you reckon? (I know the State Championships are largely irrelevant in the long run).

thomas_e
South Shields Youth Intake 2035 A good intake potential wise. The current stats of the players coming in are rather low, but hopefully a couple of years in the U-18's can do them some good! I hoped for a good left full back, but hopefully our prayers will be answered next year!
