Guest roberto922
After the reasonable success of last years version I thought this deserved a return but this time it has a wider reach of acceptable moves that you, the manager, can make. Instead of you having to start off unemployed you can simply take over any big club and off you go. Now the question is, what is a big club? I define it as a top flight side, others say top two tiers whilst others say just the top few of each of the major leagues are big clubs, I'll leave it up to you to decide although I would like to think that below the Championship (o its foreign equivalent) won't be included. Rules: There are very few rules, the only one is: No third party software (FMRTE, FMM etc.) is to be used. Enjoy your games

Tyler_Durden
I'm definately gonna join this.... It would be a good change of pace, from gundo´s challenge, currently fighting in the lower leagues... Can anybody recommend a good team to start out with?? What about previous experience??, I usually always set it to auto or sunday league, no matter which side I pick...
Guest roberto922
I don't mind what you pick, you'll need to set it high if you're starting off unemployed

weeeman27bob
Uhh I guess this is the place to post this so I'll do it. I've started a game as Liverpool ( one of the bigger, bigger clubs.) Although I can and will post about this in the Liverpool thread, it's nice to have some views from other people. So to bring you up to speed on my game so far. I got given a budget of £ 4.5 million for my ambitions of challenging for the title. Obviously this wasn't enough to delve into the transfer market properly, so I had to sell to buy. Out Pennant - £ 9.5 million Benayoun - £ 10 million In Fernandez 8.5 million Veloso £ 11. 5 million I also spent a lot of time ( and compensation) getting my staff up to standard. I shipped out about 6, bringing in a load of new faces. I'm not playing a specific formation, but am varying between 4-4-2, 4-3-1-2 and 4-2-3-1. I've had a fair start to the season, undefeated in three games and pre-season but we haven't blown anyone away yet.

We all know that filth play in blue ( just joking of course) Anyhow, I'll probably get a game going eventually that fits more with the games the other people are playing, although that will probably be a while. smithers08
I will do this challenge from the Newcastle game I have got going atm Played 7 friendlies to get my squad into shape . Drew 3 - Wrexham 1-1 , Carslile 2-2 and Dundee 1-1 . Won 3 - Sheff U 1-0 , Berwick 4-0 and Ajax 1-0 and lost 1 - Galatasary 2-3. Signed Gary Speed for 200k +100k after 20 league appearances , along with a young 18 yr old french RB on loan for the season and a expereinced DL/ML on loan for 6 month to provide competion for Enrique. Allowed Lua lua and Godsmark to go out on loan for 3 months and Edgar to go out on loan to Plymouth for 5 month. One game into the season and drew 1-1 at Home to Aston Villa with Ameobi scoring the goal , before Shorey leveld things up from the spot the draw came at a cost , as Martins was ruled out for a week with an arm injury and Speed out for 5 months with a shin injury , add these to my other injured players Kadar , Butt , Barton (susp) , Baheng , Carroll , Owen and Viduka . Next up is an away game at Arsenal , follwed by Brighton at home in the 2nd round of the Carling cup where I will give some of backup players a game such as Harper , Bassong , Duff and Xisco. Tyler_Durden
I´ve restarted my career... (formerly with auxerre), because a friend of mine just bought the game, and we´re doing a "challenge" starting up with the same leagues, and the same club, and see who will have the best career from that. And I guess that could just be the career that I´ll take to this thread. We´ve chosen Brøndby If (our team here in denmark), It´s not the biggest club, but an ok place to start a career from I should think.. Leagues loaded this time ´round: Denmark (3) England (3) Spain (3) Germany (3) Holland (2) MLS
