Gecko
Yea sometimes the injuries get bad but on rare occasions tho. Its no where near as bad as the demo
Glenn Nickols
I'm halfway through a season and the injuies got less and less as I played. I'm guessing as the players get fitter they get injured less. have a look at your training. rotate players a lot in early friendlies etc. I'm getting next to no injuries now. legend_killer82
i can't even play a match now if not by calling up reserve or youth team players...
Clampos
The main problem I have with injuries is international duty. But then I gave no instructions like 45 mins so my fault in a way. The injuries you pick up on int duty seem harsh but it might just be bad luck.
SI Staff Marc Duffy Posted November 15, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted November 15, 2008 I think overall injuries went down from demo to patch by somewhere between 25 -33%

Glenn Nickols
I can only tell you whats happening in my game. I'm in january and i'm hardly getting any injuries. I was getting injuries (still a lot less than the demo) for the first few months. I adjusted training, rotated players etc and now I seem to be fine. Clampos
I dont htink its far off at all. I also think that not enough people rest player when they get below 90% cond. I find playing players below 95% increases the chance of injury.
Sy13
I've played 7 games so far without a single injury. I'm actually hoping for one sometime soon just to ease my mind that they are still in the game
markcox7
the patch does fix the injuries, you still get them but its much better now, although some of my players might aswell be injured...
legend_killer82
damn hey...i just played next match and got 3 more injured players! 14 injured i think it's kinda too much imho u should have reduced it by 60/70% cause i don't even have any more players to put in game, and it's just after 2 matches on 31st august... Butters76
OP. Think you've been unlucky. Injury rate is alot lower than the demo. I could never play past october in the demo with arsenal coz by october I had 15 injured 1st team players. In my 2 9.1.0 games Injuries have been just right compared to RL IMO. But it still too early to judge, just be careful with them in pre-season. I never let anyone play more than 60 minutes in the pre-season friendlies. harvninho
i am nearly at the end of my season and the injuries get better.. make sure u play them when fully fit .. dont gamble.... and its not too bad there are weird injuries everynow adn then .. but not as bad at the start of the game and i dont have the patch
Mike7077
PaulC said that he believed the patch needed to reduce injuries by about 33%. I believed it was more in the area of 50-60%, but hey-ho. It's still a big improvement on the demo and I'm very happy with the game. It took until last February to get FM08 playing this well. russ the womble
I currently have 8 injuries although it was 10 at peak. My mate though, only has 3, so I guess things have improved. Any recommendation on training - is it ok to have the trainng slider a the top end of 'medium' just before it goes into heavy training?
balaban
Another thing you must consider: until your players are in great condition, you can't wear them out. avoid high closing down, hard tackling or a bunch of consecutive games in pre-season. Jam_Man
Seems ok in my game, not had any injuries at all pre season...
Kain
Seems fine to me, if not a little low.I had 2 fringe players injured during the season, andI'm now in November and have had no further injuries since. I think sorting out your pre-season, both in terms of friendlies and training, is crucial to keeping their fitness levels up though. As others have said, rotate a lot, or if you have a small squad (like I have), at least try to keep your friendlies about 5-6 days apart. They'll still be fully fit in time for the main season if they're playing every game at that rate. For training, I've had mine generally set just below the point it turns into heavy. Not sure how it'll be towards the end of the season, but its going well so far.
