Help with the Arsenal tactic

Recommended Posts

In this first reply I'll just tell you how I would set up my basic tactic in your deep 4312 system with these 11 players (except for Xhaka, whom I would replace with Gendouzi due to his better defensive abilities). Then in the next post I can explain you why I set up the tactic like that (if you want me to, of course).

Roles and duties:

DLFsu      AFat

TQ

HB    RPM   DLPsu

FBat      CDco    CDde     CWBsu

SKde

Players and player instructions:

GK/SKde - Leno - take fewer risks

DCL/CDco - Sokratis - take fewer risks, stay wider

DCR/CDde - Mustafi - no PIs

DL/FBat - Monreal - cross from byline

DR/CWBsu - Bellerin - no PIs

DMCL/HB - Torreira - mark tighter

DMCR/DLPsu - Gendouzi - mark tighter

DMC/RPM - Ramsey - get further forward, mark tighter

AMC/TQ - Ozil - no PIs

STCL/DLFsu - Lacazette - shoot more often, max pressing

STCR/PFat - Aubameyang - shorter passing, max pressing

Team instructions:

Mentality - Positive

In possession - play out of defence, work ball into box, be more expressive, low crosses (optionally focus play through the middle)

In transition - counter, roll it out, distribute to CBs and FBs (and counter-press against weaker opposition)

Out of possession - higher d-line, use tighter marking, prevent short GKD

Btw, my biggest concern in this tactic is how Ramsey would perform in a DM position (regardless of the role). Perhaps Xhaka as a regista would be a better choice. Though, to be honest, I personally wouldn't use this type of formation anyway, but if that's your choice... go ahead and give it a try  :)

I changed the formation.
But refuse to play 4-2-3-1

Went for this one. won everything so far.

GK:  take fewer risk
DCL: Mark thighter .stay wider
DCR: Stay wider - mark tighter
Halfback: Mark righter
AML: shoot more often

But who mentioned 4231 anyway ??? I didn't :onmehead:

hehe no , but that was why I went with the diamond. Everytime I start a save with a good team, I end up with 4-2-3-1
