Clark123 Posted January 22, 2009 Share Posted January 22, 2009 Hi everyone! Just giving you an update on how my season went. Overall i finished 9th. I was very pleased with my final position as previously i finished 15th in the past 2 seasons. I managed to find form in the last few weeks and that led to my finishig position. So on to my next season then. I was a bit dissapointed with the transfer budget i was giving (£14.33 mil) You may wonder why i was dissapointed with this, but its only because in previous seasons i have been given 20 - 30 mil. However, i soon figured out why this lower budget was. My stadium has been expanded again to 48000 and both my training and youth facilities are getting upgraded too! Unfortunately, some of my players have become unhappy. The likes of Simon Vukcevic, my 11.75 mil signing wants to leave after only one season. He was also the plaer who had the most assists in the league (12). After him sending in a transfer request i figured i couldnt tempt him to stay. Two of my other key players also became unhappy. Ezequiel Garay and Marquinhos. Garay became unhappy after i rejected a 12 mil bid from AC Milan and MArquinhos became unhappy after i rejected a 14 mil bid from Man U. Luckily they havent gone to the extent of requesting a transfer so they should become happy when the season begins. So i figured it was time to spend some of that money in the transfer market. I was looking for a striker, so I solt Lewandowski for 7.5 mil to get some extra funds. I came across this 20 year old regen from Bolonga in Serie A and straight away i had to buy him whatever the price! Im sure you'll agree his stats make him look world class. I also needed some cover for the full back positions. Once again i was looking for the future and another regen popped up and i had the same reaction to the one above! At 325k i felt it was a steal! At the age of 18 them stats are incredible. So thats pretty much my season so far, im still in the transfer market so will give some updates on how it goes. Thanks for reading and up the tigers!!! A 5 man midfield is what i think is best with the wingers (Geovani & Mendy) supporting the striker (Manucho) Ashbee and Boateng sit in front of the back four and Bullard bombing foward and creating chances. Must have got annoyed at being beaten my a Hull side who haven't one in 11 games! EDIT: This is weird! I've just attempted to loan Henri Lansbury from Arsenal who is listed for loan! I offered 100% wages and they reject and say they don't want to loan the player out at this time. Then Plymouth offer too loan him for 50% wages they accept! Buy a new right back Opare, Taylor (Ryan). Buy a new keeper Asenjo (if Valliodd are bankrupt), Fiorillo, Enyeama. Buy a new left back Mattock, Masilela, Rat. Buy a new centre back Haining??? The tactic i had a big success with last year just isnt working. So ive had to re-adjust and make a new one My squad is easily capable of competing for the title, but they just don't perform for me. I went to the game today, just like every home game, and if you watch it tonight you will see how much we dominated the first half. West Brom had 3 shots, 1 they scored from, 2 miles wide and they scored off a penalty. Don't be one of thoose people who say on BBC Radio Humberside after the game " Phil Brown is crazy, he doesn't know what he's doing, Phil Brown out " Its a joke.
