Rober has taken that view Yeah I find it much easier to build squads for narrow formations and three strikers just seem to get more goals, though I kinda miss the AMC . Cadoni has suggested to Just use Attacking, Defending, Physical and Match Practise and you are ready to go. I go on a really nice winning steak then lose 4-0 to Southampton. Some really bizarre random losses then a tricky period of conceding goals after massive win streaks conceding 1-2 goals in 10 games. Curious to see @knap's response, but I've started taking this approach in my longer term saves -- I used to always be chasing the "best" formation that could find immediate success and like win the EPL with Brentford, but I think basically all of Knap's tactics can be basically unbeatable if you build up your team to be one of the best in the world (which is usually the goal in my long-term saves). So I've started just kind of picking formations I like, with player roles I like, knowing that as long as I keep signing better players to fill those positions and developing my youth players and rising up the ranks, the tactic will work even better for me! I shall report back in a few hours! edit - success may be hampered somewhat by Martin Odegaard breaking his leg 3 days into preseason... update - well played about 5 matches, then holidayed a few more and there was quite a few draws/losses against weak teams. Home form was pretty good, but giving up a lot of shots. Away form was poor (as seems to be the case with every tactic) I also got fined by the FA for numerous matches for getting 5-6 yellow cards. I am gung ho and prefer to attack and perhaps win 1 game in 3. If isk adverse then use a defensive tactic and perhaps draw all 3 games. As a defensive formation I would use 4141 as it has a DM and protects wings, and KINGSTONIAN 4141 would be my choice. I use 3 DLs std higher much higher. If AI are going for balls over top then std but if AI attacking you can leave at higher or much higher. The LOE can be adjusted with or without DL adjustments. The simple answer is just drop LOE..
