The positional rating using a weighted average system for key positional attributes, which can be changed for personal preference. Probably best to use a combination of CA PA and positional rating. knap Posted September 4, 2019 Author Share Posted September 4, 2019 Perhaps the easiest way to consider which players work is to use the test team as a guide. If I use say Pogba in the CM role look for a similar payer. In general the midfield will be 1 DM/BWM type player and a AP type players The problem is I test with a real save so there are injuries and squad rotation, so there will never be just the same 11 players playing the tactic. If I used a test league without injuries morale issues etc, it may be possible to identify a best player fir However, this would not reflect a real save unless you can clone a first team. It is also impossible to actually test if ppms help or hinder a tactic. I do not specifically train any in LL teams, even when reaching PL. The manager of my irl club NYCFC is Dome Torrent who was a longtime assistant for Pep and came up the idea of using IWBs at Bayern Munich with Phillip Lahm. I started a York City save and have been able to promote them up from the National League North to the Premier League. Was able to promote every year except for a two year stop over in the Championship. In 19.3.4, used a combo of your 442/4141 with IWBs and now am using the 4132/4141 IWB combo in 19.3.5. Highlight so far was zbouncing Chelsea and going on a deep FA Cup run in L2. The 4132 that you and tff have remind me of me of Bielsas 3313 with IWBs. I wonder if a 3 ATB verison is doable in FM, but it probably would only be useful against the rare team that uses 3 strikers. Thanks again. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Testing with high reputation also makes tactics play against defensive AI. The long holiday season test just showed normal variations between seasons. These are from a 2019 season and 2034 season again not showing a major variation. As long as winning leagues and cups I would just see how they pan out over the seasons. I Always used gladiator tactic, but afther 3.5 it,s not giving me much fun anymore. Could you have a good tactic for home and away where my striker(s) score goals and i have fun again. I would either try the 4141 which strengthens midfield or 442 matching the AI player for player.
