CafcJoe
but is their any chance that on the demo SI have held some features back i.e possible stands around the pitch is it possible they have done this?
SCIAG
No. The demo is what the game will be like.

Abs_UK
But there is a possibility you would be able to download stadiums like you can download other graphics...
dean66683
they must have left some features back. in my 'managers' tab there is the 'options' section but that doesnt contain the ass man stuff like 'take control of reserves'. it certainly not where it was in 08 and i just kind find it in 09. (been told it's in same place?)

Confused Clarity
they must have left some features back. in my 'managers' tab there is the 'options' section but that doesnt contain the ass man stuff like 'take control of reserves'. it certainly not where it was in 08 and i just kind find it in 09. Abs_UK
how would you do that? Because SI have said people with 3d programmes can make stadiums just like skins and the game will recognise it as long as its in the correct formate..
dean66683
It's been moved.Manager Button > Your team's name - Team settings. cheers big ears. and yea, was a bit dissapointed there wernt atleast a default crowd on 3d. it just looks like a sunday league pitch. (miles better than the one's i play on though!) tip, watch on elevated view rather than tv, keeps view on just pitch.

BoogsY2K8
Surely the stadiums are just disabled in the demo? There's an option to turn them on/off: Would like an option to turn off shadows.
schweddy
There is an option to turn the on/off but they are "abstract" stadiums which means they are only outlines which is what you see in the demo, not a full stadium with fans, lights, ect. There won't be any fans in the full game either. You'll have to hope someone creates a stadium with fans at some future date or wait for FM2010. Ackter
I really don't see why the crowd is even slightly important? The match engine is about showing what happens tactically on the pitch.
Selleckta
I posted this in its own thread, but it's had no response as yet. It strikes me that discussion here is related. This is a very minor issue, but I would be interested to see if anyone shares the same view on something that would possibly be relatively simple to implement. I know that some people have been discussing stadium graphics, etc, with a view to achieving a more graphically acurate experience within the 3D engine. I've no problem with this in theory and I'm sure that over time, the 3D will begin to look very good indeed. My idea is to go the other way for the moment. I don't like the stadium graphics in their current form and choose to turn them off. Doing so presents the 3D pitch in the middle of a featureless expanse of green 'grass'. I would much prefer it if, instead of this, there was simply a black border. around the actual playing surface, with no features beyond the ad hoardings. For me, CM/FM has always been about filling in the blanks with a bit of imagination. I think it would be easier to do this with a black boundary. The current green approach does give the impression of the match taking place in the middle of a big park. In my opinon, Barca vs Real at the Nou Camp, or United vs Liverpool at Old Trafford, would be much more easily imagined against a black background. This was the case with the 2D engine, which made this rather easy. To summarise, my request is that when the user sellects 'Stadiums Off' under Display Options, the current green texture around the 3D playing surface is replaced by a simple, black background. Thoughts?
dean66683
then why have green grass, and why not have stick people, why have billboards. it's for effect. im not talking mass detail, just a visable fan backdrop. we all like a bit of authenticity. DJ
I'm not too impressed by the stadiums either, it would be nice to see what kind of stadium you're playing in ('patato field' pitch with one stand up to perfect lawn 300k all seater with retractable roof) as well as an impression of the number of fans - are the stands full, or did only a few people bother to turn up today. That would be a biatch to implement though, I'd think. So I'll play without visible stadium, I'd rather imagine it. I turn off the sound as well. There's no way those 115 fans and 15 away fans make that sort of noise
crouchaldinho
If you know that it is stupid then why did you bother to post it?
manutdman666
I would just like to say that on demo release day I was informed by a member of SI that the game WILL have surrounding areas on the pitch i.e stands, billboards etc link:http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?p=1920216#post1920216
