NepentheZ
I don't think yet another thread about the demo problems is whats needed. Its called a Demo for a reason. Because its not the final product.
stokes_83
no that would be a BETA
NepentheZ
No. BETA is for Testing. The Demo, is a demonstration of the final product. If it was the final product, they would've just released the game. When you download Demo's of game son the PS3 or 360, the game states clearly that gameplay and features may not represent what is included in the full version of the game. Hence, the Demo isn't the final product.
solstar
Not wanting to be one to dictate who does what but do ppl who complain think FM is a game comparable to Gears of War for example?? Cos its not, never has been and although market conditions force it to have to be more "interactive", it's not an arcade game.
NepentheZ
I've not compared FM to any other game. Not once. There is nothing in my post to suggest that there has been a comparison of anything with FM, let alone a game. I'm relating to the fact that a Demo does not represent the final version of the game. AnfieldRoad10
Isn't this a novelty, a complaining thread.

Winto
but the demo is a stunted version of the final game. the only thing that makes it a demo is 6 months playable, no bagdes or whatnot, small database. the errors and bugs will still be present in the released game. to the OP, there will be a demo patch. official. Basketcase
A demo patch... really? From Miles blog on HMV: "If you were to read our forums since, you might think that the demo release was not a good thing at all. There are a few hundred people who are having issues running the demo due to hardware issues between the game and their graphics card, which has been very disappointing for us. We thought we had it all covered and that all graphics cards that couldn't run the game in 3d would run 2d, but as there is so much hardware out there, it's impossible to test on every single configuration, and with some cards, it just plain didn't work. We've spent hours trawling through second hand shops and ebay trying to find the cards that were reported to have problems, and we think we've now fixed the issue with most of them so that they'll at least be able to run 2d. Once we're happy that there will be no more issues, we will release a compatability patch for the demo, so that those people having problems can play the game happily." Mike7077
I'm assuming that patch won't fix the injury bug?
Basketcase
No mention of it.But you'd think that they would add a fix for it to make the game more appealing.
SmurfDude
No mention of it.But you'd think that they would add a fix for it to make the game more appealing. It would make sense to include every fix they have done so far. That way we can give feedback on it
MachinegunHead
They wont lose many sales if they don't patch the demo. MOST people would play the demo, and say, "damn, this game would be good if people didn't get injured so much", or would pick out a few other little bits that irk them. Then they would see the patch for the main game and see that it reads, 'number of injuries drastically reduced', and say, "well, there ya go, looks like this game will be perfect!". Very few companies patch demos, you'd be a fool to expect it.
