Makoto Nakamura
June 2037 We face FC Seoul in the Champions League quarter final and we're doing well in the league near the top of the table, the big shock is that we're out of the cup, losing on penalties to the team that's currently in 2nd in the 2nd tier. Makoto Nakamura
July 2037 A solid month but we've been hit by players leaving, like our first choice goalkeeper who moaned about someone else leaving, our next choice goalkeeper is rated "leading for Second Division sides" which is the 3rd tier of Chinese football. 1 in and 5 out. Makoto Nakamura
August 2037 A perfect month in the league but we're just 3 points clear of Tianjin Yili, thankfully we beat them 4-1 this month! We have a tough task in the Champions League and we must get a result away from home...not likely though with our defensive qualities.

Makoto Nakamura
May 2038 Another very busy month and with just the one loss in the league we've re-hit the top of the table! In the Champions League we eased past South Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors 7-3 on aggregate and we're now waiting to see who we'll face in the quarter finals. Makoto Nakamura
June 2038 And then after the busy months we've been having we have a month with just 2 matches, a surprise loss to struggling Liaoning and an easy win over 2nd tier side Shenzen in the cup. Makoto Nakamura
July 2038 Another very strong month with us just dropping points once and we're now 7 points clear although both Shanghai Shenhua and Tianjin Yiji have a game in hand. 2 players in and we lose one of our best strikers in Liu Lin but we signed a replacement just a fortnight later. Makoto Nakamura
September 2038 Solid again with the only loss being away to Shanghai Shenhua which brings us back to within 5 points of us, we have a good away goal in the FA Cup Semi Final as well, hopefully we can get the home win! Makoto Nakamura
September 2038 We've made it through to the Champions League Semi Final after beating Tianjin Yili 7-4 on aggregate, we face FC Seoul in the Semi's and I'm yet to beat them as a manager. In the league Shanghail Shenhua are really pushing us and we can't afford to drop any points in the last 2 matches. Makoto Nakamura
2038 End of Season Review Oh my good lord. I was originally fuming at Liaoning as drawing to them lost us the league title, but since then we knocked FC Seoul off of their Asian perch that they've basically had for the last 10 years, we came from 5-2 down to win 8-8 on away goals in the FA Cup Final and we won the Club World Cup Final after beating Manchester City on penalties in the semi final!!!!! By the way how did High Quality and Bhutan have fared since your departure? I'm currently in my own Bhutan save, managing Transport and NT (since the end of 2019) (year is early 2021), with maxed junior coaching and recruitment (board was accepting upgrades every 3 month or so...), but the coming season will probably be hard (lost my top 4 strikers + top keeper+ top defender)...On the other end, i had quite overperformed reaching the finals in the Asian Confederation cup with Transport (thanks to a 92th penalty against Pyongyang making the score 4-6, 3-1)... Fun fact, the first bhutanese player to play abroad in my save (wasn't from my team) was a keeper recruited by Kataller!!

Cyp
Well i was pretty lucky, hardest game was the barrage before the group phase against Bengaluru (went 2-2/1-1) and interzone barrage final against Pyongyang that i shouldn't have won but won miraculously...In group phase, the Indian team lost 5-1 their first game and was in bad form, as was New Radiant...One of my forward was in a scary good form (13pace/13acceleration/12 finishing killing it in counters) and scored 4 goals 3 times... I won the group easily (i think my team was as good as the other in the group talentwise, but with full cohesion + full morale from crushing bhutanese team+ rotation to have the team in form in Continental competition) Faced a Philipines team in the interzone barrage, which was good but not great. Overall, i scored a lot, and also set a record for goal against. Had the record for goal scored (19!!) and assists for my 2 strikers I was helped by the fact that i had 2 very good intakes (golden generation with mainly forwards and a top keeper) to work with, since foreign team weren't stealing my players yet. Also that year there was no Asian Games, so that clearly helped to reach the group phase!!(wouldn't have beaten Bengaluru). I think it is unlikely i can replicate such a run in future, unless i get a godly youth intake in a non Asian game year, since now my player are stolen as soon they reach 18. Considering Bhutanese from youth intake are often an old 16 when generated, that mean that my best players will stay only one year. Passing semi-pro is the next objective, as is increasing league reputation (was frozen due to bug until 2020 - which was a blessing in disguise since i wasn't scouted) Top scorer : 2nd Forward (top Passer in cup) Other key players Edited July 2, 2018 by Cyp
