Rob1981
Need a World Cup countdown thread tbh until the proper WC Forum is opened. One month to go England squad is coming on Wednesday apparently, it's a 23 + standby list rather than a bigger squad that then gets reduced down. GunmaN1905
If Lovren doesn't end up in prison after the farce in court today. Would be hillarous if he missed CL finals because of the trial. Both him and Modrić. And fair.

PMLF
A cool stat: Only six Brazilian national team players called up for the 2014 World Cup have been called up for 2018 World Cup as well: Marcelo, Thiago Silva, Fernandinho, Paulinho, Willian and Neymar
GunmaN1905
Completely forgot, but how wasn't Miranda invited back then? Atletico played in CL finals and he was amazing with Godin. That stat shows why Brazil is performing so much better than Argentina. They realized that many older players got plenty of chances and failed. While Argentina is still clinging on the likes of Mascherano, Biglia, Perez, Aguero and Higuain.
georginho_juventusygr
Trézéguet. How could you go from Mahmoud Hassan to Trézéguet? Not worthy to shine the real Trezeguet's boots, for sure.

Yes, Miranda should have been in the 2014 WC, Dante (awful), Henrique (ok but not NT level), David Luiz (overrated) and Thiago Silva were the four centre backs. As for Argentina, I think their pool is smaller than that of Brazil, so it's harder to revamp the squad every WC like Brazil often does.
GunmaN1905
Yeah, it's smaller, but it's not like 32yo Biglia and 35yo Mascherano can provide much. Aguero and Higuain got plenty of chances and never delivered. They even got booed by their own fans. Neither Dybala or Icardi never got a proper chance, just an odd game here and there. Heartwork
Gundogan and Ozil apparently upset a lot of people and facing a reprimand from the DFB after meeting with Turkish despot Erdogan and calling him "[their] President". Collzy
Germany's goalkeepers (and squad tbf) is just ridiculous, each of their expected 3 keepers is better than England's 1st choice.
