SixPointer Posted June 17, 2018 Author Share Posted June 17, 2018 The next 8 games will take us up to the winter break massive spell as we play PSV, Vitesse, AZ and Feyenoord all really huge games at the top end of the table. Again we lose away from home in Den Haag back to back defeats for the first time this season. We then smash Heracles at the Abe Lenstra StadionĀ 4-0 like two different teams at the minute a great result nevertheless at with PSV table toppers at home up next much needed. What a performance and result to match. From back to back away defeats to back to back 4-0 wins at home madness. Not a bad player on the park but you would think it would be the attackers to brag about but the back 4 was outstanding never gave PSV a chance all day. Sheer dominance one shot on target from the visitors. 7 clear cut chances for us more pass completion more headers and tackles won great reading. Look at the difference in our passion combinations our balance is lovely. Pick of the 4 goals was the 4th Odegaard with a defence splitting pass for Carneiro to run through and slot home. Another two poor result away from home as we lose 2-0 to Vitesse and draw 1-1 with NAC there was a 3-0 convincing win in the middle against AZ a great result in itself. The run at home continues as we dismantle Feyenoord. Our first half display was sensational. Again a well rounded performance from the whole team. Carneiro with 6 key passes a assist and a goal great all round performance for the centre forward. Linked play beautifully and got his goal late on which was more than deserved. Pick of the goals was a nice one two from Mathew and Zeneli a nice team move. We finished up for the winter break with a 3-1 away from home at Roda JC finally get a result on the road. Overall in the 8 games am happy we won 3 of the 4 big games I picked out before the game. Our away form does make for slight concern though. Only winning 1 of the 4 games on the road After 18 games we are very much in the mix our away form possibly costing us top spot. First round sees us travel to Willem II in Tilburg. They were relegated last season from the Eredivisie and have started well in the jupiler league interesting tie. Carneiro continues his habit of early goals in cup competitions. Never looked like losing as the full strength side brushed the second tier team aside. Up next was RKC Waalwijk anticipating a similar sort of tie as the first round. So how think I wouldn't be thinking that if @Deisler26 was at the helm. The second string takes care of business in Waalwijk. Total domination Xadas with a Steller performance. Young Westerlaken made his senior debut at right back as well. 3rd round and we welcomed ADO Den Haag to the Abe Lenstra Stadion which we have turned into a fortress. Still couldn't afford to become complacent. Again a really dominant performance Xadas another stand out this time in the mezzala role. He really has lit the competition up so far. We were dealt another home draw against mid table side NAC. A game I thought we should win specially being at home. We really were dominating these teams in the cup again no shots on target from the visitors. At this stage I really was starting to believe this was our year. The Eredivisie holders are in town would rather have had them in the final but here we were. What a game! Two sending offs a last minute equaliser and penalty's unfortunately we were poor in the penalty's missing our first two. "Overall a very decent cup run shame to go out the way we did. Outgoing we see Rodrigao and Veerman depart both became unhappy with limited choices due to Gonzalo Carneiro and Erling Haland's form. We made a profit of Rodrigao but we let Veerman go cheap. Arber Zeneli finally got his move he had been unhappy the whole season after we rejected a Ā£10 million bid from Real Sociedad. He never really got back to his first season from so we have to accept a lower deal but it has a good sell on clause so we wish him all the best. Incoming Etebo and Montes. Etebo is a replacement for Zeneli the Nigerian has the potential to become a class inside forward if he can adapt from his usual right wing role. Fantastic mental attributes and his technical and physicals are pretty good also. Long shots need work for his new role. Montes we splashed the cash on a deal worth up to Ā£16 million depending on appearances both club and international. A technically gifted Ball Playing Defender hopefully long term partner of Kik Pierie. Look at that technique the exact type of centre back we need with our style of play. Low aggression could become a bit of a worry but am hoping with his high Positioning, anticipation, concentration and pace he will read the game well and not need to use aggression. Rhian Brewster came in on loan till the end of the season as Jakub Wrzesniak is on loan at NEC. Just cover in case we lose Carneiro or Haland. Academy watch today as we see a new group of youngsters join the under 19's We see our first player join from affiliate club Karlsruhe in Germany. Iddo Roscher reckons Bas Diemers is the best to come through. Good intake but not quite a golden generation as off yet. Considering Iddo Roscher as my HOYD with the facilities I may step it up a notch try get that golden generation. The players just a little note I took these screenshots after a month to see how development went before we made a decisionĀ Jeffery is pick of the bunch for me personally has a nice attribute spread for a 15 year old some stand out stats with the right work could well become a player. Thomas Noppert looks like he has serious potential could well become a first team mezzala he definitely has the determination to make it. SixPointer Posted June 20, 2018 Author Share Posted June 20, 2018 We return from the winter break and we are straight into a Noorden Derby Ā A drab match all in all but we come away with the 3 points and that's the most important thing at the end of the day. The next 5 games very mixed a decent results at home to Ajax and FC Utrecht and a nice away with against excelsior. Then two very bad 0-0 draws on the road one in the Friese derby and another against Go Ahead both relegation battlers more proof we just aren't clicking on the road. What a contest not much in terms of good defending going on. That man Xadas again running the show he really is softening the blow of losing Odegaard at the end of the season he a like for like replacement. Man of the match performances with 4 clear cut chances created and the opening goal. Xadas finishes off a nicely worked team move our passing really is something else at times there is another 10 passes out from the back before this clip. Unbeaten again in the next 6 games a 4-0 drubbing of PEC Zwolle in there as well. NEC is a good point as they have been good this season. Sparta is a poor point. A smashing result specially with young Smeekes and Tahboun in the middle in the park. The Abe Lenstra Stadion was rocking! All round a sublime performance not a bad player on the park. Ā The results on a whole make for great reading as well as we go unbeaten in 17 games in total now with 4 games left to play. Again some silly draws in there which may dent our title hopes in the end. 4 Games to go and its tight in the race for Europe I cant see us catching Ajax maybe PSV but I think we are really fighting it out for 3rd place and the final automatic European slot. What a league its been very competitive. AZ, NEC and Vitesse have joined us and the big three long may it continue. Our final 4 fixtures see us travel to PSV and AZ followed by Vitesse at home 3 make or break games in terms of the season. We go up against 2nd place PSV at the Philips Stadion then 6th place AZ in Alkmaar and then Welcome 3rd place Vitesse to the Abe Lenstra Stadion. Roda JC is the last regular season game which could have a lot riding on it as they look to survive relegation as well. A major result in the Philips Stadion its keep our faint Eredivisie title hopes. A very good performance without being spectacular. The penalty in truth swung the game as it was even until the despite us dominating the ball. On to AZ in Alkmaar. Title dreams are over after a very poor opening 10 minutes in fact terrible first half showing. We changed it up and battled back in the second half to rescue a point which does send us above Vitesse into 3rd. Both sides had standout performers Mathew walks away with the man of the match but I could easily been Garcia of AZ or Carneiro both got themselves brace. Very balanced we dominated the ball but AZ created chance after chance on the break. What a game! Both teams passed the ball well both similar set ups. Both teams created a abundance of chances as well could easily have been even more goals. The equaliser Schaars starts it off Xadas threads it nicely and Carneiro finishes it off typical team move love it! Onto Vitesse at the Abe Lenstra Stadion. A masterclass from Odegaard 3 assists in his final game for The Veen and he done it in front of the Lenstra faithful. We caught up with Martin Odegaard himself. The manager has offered me a coaching role so I will be in around this fantastic club still" "I would like to thank all the fans they are very special up here in the north" The Final League Table 3rd place in a very competitive league this season a point off second it was that competitive Feyenoord have missed out on European football! AZ and Vitesse has brilliant seasons along with newly promoted NEC. Our Frisian neighbours SC Cambuur are relegated which isn't to good as I love the derby. Home Record Ā Our home record is nothing short of fantastic going unbeaten the whole season and only drawing to games. Away Record Our away record lets us down far to many draws on the road cost us a shot at the title. All in all a record breaking season am very happy with that! League Stats Highest average possession, most passes completed and highest pass completion ratio. Mission accomplished in terms of style of play we are officially the best passers in the league. But we are not passing for the sake of it as we created the most chances and completed the most crosses in the league showing we have that cutting edge as well as possession. We also had the most shots on target were 4th with the ratio of them on target impressive stuff and to round it off we scored the most goals. Style of play is sublime! We are joint 5th for tackles won good enough at winning the ball back we are 4th for goals conceded and joint first for clean sheets. Arsenal win the champions league the year after Wenger left for the France job! The under 19's were unlucky to lose in the final of the UEFA youth league final. Hidde ter Avest gets signing of the season I can agree with that he has been a rock at right back. Goal of the season from Mathew a fine strike but I reckon there was better specially some lovely team moves. Runners up on all 3 fronts a bit of a let down after a record breaking season. A big problem we have is we need to replace Schaars who retired and Odegaard who returned to Real Madrid no easy task but Xadas should cover Odegaard. I think if we can hold onto all our players and add a few quality players we can bring home the clubs first Eredivisie. It will be tough to hold onto every especially Pierie we already knocked back big bids. he has 4 years on his deal and the option to extend it a year so ill hold on for now because he is a class act and he hasn't asked to leave. There were changes in the staff at the club as we branch out from just Dutch nationals in the senior positions. A new director of football arrives in the shape of former Dutch international Stan Valckx He is better than previous and will shake thing up a bit. A club icon returns Ruuuuuuuudddd Not the best of stats has great mental's and who doesn't watch the Dutch goal machine bringing on the youth. The final big addition sees Iddo Roscher who had delivered some good youth players move on and we bring in a man who has it all. An absolute monster of a HOYD been out of work since Santos in 2013 he has phenomenal stats. We made this switch in the hope of him producing a golden generation. A improvement in European rankings is always a welcome sight. The Fixtures are out and we face Feyenoord on the first day foe the second season running tough start followed by another 4 tricky ties we need to start well if we are to win the title this year its a absolute must we cant afford to be chasing Ajax early on. Nice little boost still have a little room for some more but we will need to push on this season as our season ticket sales stayed the same. Two major signings arrive from each Madrid club. Great early season business for us. Lucas Silva arrives for 2.1million a absolute bargain he is a direct replacement for Schaars and will play in the number 6 role and shirt. Emiliano VelĆ”zquez joins on a free transfer what a capture he adds real quality and now gives us 3 great options at centre back which may see us switch to a back 3. A solid summer from the club lets see what unfolds in pre season Ā Ā Sorry for such a delay on a update hopefully the next one wont take long. He scored so many for me in my Ultimate Football manager game till I had so sell him for around 12mā¬. What I also really like is that your focus on new players is in Scandinavia, just like in real life. We try to buy some young Scandinavian talents which are mostly sold again 2 years later. A massive statement by the club knocking back sum bids of around 12 million for players. I felt if we could hold onto our side and with the players we added we would have a real chance of some much needed silverware. A fantastic pre season from the boys perfect preparations for the season a head. Massive wins against Juventus and Athletic Bilbao were big highlights. I feel we were aided as well without having European qualifiers it aloud us to mix and test players and tactics gave us a good balance. Ā Ā A tough Europa League draw Italian giants Roma would be favourites but tough journey to the Russian capital against Spartak and Nice have finished in the top 5 in the last 3 season in a tough French league. A tasty group and one I look forward to. A home tie in the first round of the KNVB Beker against Semi Professional outfit FC Lienden a trophy I would really like to win this season after coming so close last year. With the stadium expansion complete we now have a 26,850 capacity. Our Training, Youth and Data faculties are now all at excellent level after all the upgrades were complete. Our junior coaching and Youth recruitment are of a high standard as well. Massive strides of the park from the club. Was sad to lose our unbeaten home record but we picked ourselves back up and kicked on! Clearly the result thus far in the league season taking 6 off the Dutch giants in a sublime performance. A 9.9 from Carneiro 4 goals and a assist what a performance another notable performance was from 18 year old Joey Koster his assist for the first goal below was lovely. The reverse pass from the 18 year old is a thing of true beauty and great finish from Carneiro also. That lovely passing/team shape is still there we really do move the ball lovely at times I wish I could show more extended highlights of some of our play. The league table as we go into the winter break makes great reading. We are running away with it at this stage. We have profited from a poor starts fromĀ Ajax and PSV losing 5 already. This is ours to throw away and possibly the biggest chance we will have of a Eredivisie as teams look to buy our best players. We are also doing it the way we want to play. Dominating the ball and passing stats we have scored the most and conceded the least our hard work setting this style of play Is finally paying off. A superb Europa League group campaign from us. Two absolute hammerings of Roma being the highlights off a unbeaten round. 4-1 win the Olimpico a colossal result dominating the home side from start to finish! A remarkable performance from the boys Roma didn't deserve a goal in all honesty either. Xadas, Silva and Mathew just ran the midfield the whole game. The back 4 was as solid as a rock. Lucas Silva's rocket got the scoring underway this boy can really smash them in! The Group finished like this Roma being a big shock after being made group favourites. Nice join us in the next round a fair deal as for me they were the best side we came up against. SixPointer Posted September 18, 2018 Author Share Posted September 18, 2018 January Window slams shut! 4 Players leave they simply never made the grade the worst being Etebo who I expected big things from but wasn't to be. The main thing is we survived bids on our big players which allows us to keep our charge towards the clubs first Eredivisie title. We keep onto the crown jewel we were offered 20 in the summer so wouldn't make sense to accept this. There was almost late drama in the market. Sierhuis a player I have admired for some time nearly arrived but due to another deal we cancelled it. As Carneiro knocked back Benfica after we accepted a 25 million bid. SixPointer Posted September 21, 2018 Author Share Posted September 21, 2018 We return from the winter break and win 3-0 emphatically at home to FC Utrecht However we lose to our title rivals Ajax at home a tough one to take as we were the better side. A well fought 2-1 win at home coming from behind showed we had lots of character coming from the loss and then to be a goal down. Poor draw in Breda as we squander many chances before we got back to winning ways at home against Excelsior. Very tough one to take specially at home in a game we dominated we don't have the best of records against Ajax since I took charge it has really been our Achilles heel. Nuno Santos takes man of the match after creating many chances but in truth it wasn't a classic ajax sat in and played on the break with there wing backs proving key. I have no idea who was in charge of the fixture list here as we face Ajax again and Groningen two weeks on the bounce! Two Noorden derby's in a week followed by a massive trip to PSV Eindhoven who are struggling then we are visited by Basement boys Sparta. A drab 0-0 in the Amsterdam Arena We are bringing you commentary here from the Noordlease Stadion were we are locked in 0-0 Heerenveen have a freekick just on the left deep in injury time. Nuno Santos is over it he clips it to the edge of the box and GOAAAAAAAAL A VICIOUS RIGHT FOOT VOLLEY FROM ERLING HALAND THE HERO! Ā We slipped up in the return leg a bore draw. But a superb 2-0 win in the Phillips Stadion and then we destroy Sparta at home! No matter how poor a season they are having by there standards its always going to be a tough trip there so a fantastic result against the Dutch powerhouse. Simply outstanding 6-0 at half time!! some remarkable football at times! the only down side is conceding for the first time in 6 games. Very proud of this considering we lost Montes and Velazquez for the last 3 games and young Jeffery stepped up looks very comfortable and bagged himself man of the match in the 0-0 Noorden derby very promising future. After 26 we are miles in front it is ours to throw away but we cant become complacent we need to secure this clubs first title and doing it playing beautiful football. Ajax still pose a threat PSV have had a nothing short of a nightmare. while NEC, Den Haag and FC Utrecht have had profited from a poor PSV and very average Feyenoord and Ajax sides. We crash out at the quarter finals we choose to go for a fully rotated squad and blend some youth. I always like the cup but with us going for the title and still in Europe I felt I could rest the players and hope the second side could take care of business wasn't to be. Young Jeffrey makes his Europa league debut giving us a back 4 of 18 18 17 and 22 and all Dutch very pleasing indeed. We take the English premiership side to pieces 3-0 away from home in a fantastic display our wide men were simply irresistible. We are in complete control of the tie now taking 3 away goals back to the Abe Lenstra Stadion. Another spectacular 3-0 victory dominated the game from start to finish to take the tie 6-0 against premiership opposition shows you how far we have progressed we really look a threat in Europe along with our domestic dominance. The 3rd goal from Valente sums up our footballing style and ability. A lovely triangle from the goalkeeper and centre backs before the ball is played into midfield another lovely triangle of passes in there as well as Valente lays the ball wide to Santos as he then sends it line for Duit he squares it from the bursting midfield run of Valente at the front post who's ran began on the halfway. Sublime football exactly the kind of football a set about creating at the start of this career. The Gif may be to long so therefore slow but I simply couldn't cut it short. Tough draw in Villarreal but we have already proved we are more than capable of taking this scalp. After beating the likes of Roma, Spartak Moscow and Bournemouth home and away so far in the competition. A fantastic cup tie both teams committed and trying to win the game. We definitely leave Spain happy with our two away goals and a promising performance I think we can win this one in the Abe Lenstra Stadion. Gonzalo Carneiro turned in a super sub performance bagging a double. His hard work shutting down lead to his first and great movement at the near post the second. Dominating possession in Spain is a phenomenal statistic considering how Spanish sides keep the ball. Ā We are in the quarter final draw after a fine display in the Abe Lenstra Stadion place was rocking as we brushed Villarreal aside. A very solid display from the boys done the simple stuff well and it proved its worth as we restricted Villarreal to 3 shots and one on target. Ā Lucas Silva played "conductor" or number 6 role superbly with a fantastic with 98 completed passes at 97% completion ratio dictating the tempo and controlling the game outstanding. Very tough draw as we face up against the Italian giants but we relish the challenge and fancy ourselves against anyone at the Abe Lenstra Stadion. The title is well a truly in our own hands only we can throw this away. We smash Den Haag on there own patch to end whatever little title chance they had. Simply outclassed them from start to finish. Haland double takes the headlines but Xadas was sensational at times! Great team performance. The second string lose to Vitesse as we drop the top team as it was in between the two Villarreal ties. We beat NEC who have been a great side this season. Young Yassin Jamai gets his first senior goal as well. A 3-1 win at the Abe Lenstra Stadion with John Huisman becoming the youngest player and the youngest goalscorer in the clubs history the first of Moares additions to the first team. Looks the real deal this kid at 15 He gets the goal from the spot but we will bleed him in gently. Ohh and its in the bag with 4 Games to go! SC Heerenveen Eredivisie champions for the first time ever! Today we have Thijs De Vries Press Conference A massive moment in the clubs history how proud are you of your players? Ā Final Standings A record breaking season for us with 27 win surpasses the 21 one that was set at the club previously. PSV are the Shock of the season finishing in the bottom half. Great season for FC Utrecht who claim 3rd place N.E.C miss out on European football to AZ and Feyenoord qualify for the Europa through winning the cup. Stats Our passing stats are supreme in the league yet again we really do knock the ball around lovely all part of the main aim at the start of this career to win the league with style. We also knock it around with great purpose most chances most shots on target and most goals phenomenal this is a big for me as I did set about setting a style and a aim and these stats back them up am really over the moon. Eredivisie Awards Warner Hahn totally deserves it been sensational in goal for us. Mr consistent takes the top award plays that mezzala role expertly and rarely has a bad game and absolute baragin from our first window has become a class act. Carneiro does well to win topscorer as he went through a dry patch but 17 from 24 is still a great return considering Haland has pushed him for a game. Our very own Julius Duit wins talent of the year delighted as I promoted him to the first team in my very first squad analysis and he's went on to become a star has made a few Dutch squads but yet to get capped. How I've been pipped to this is beyond me N.E.C over achieved and Lijnders has done a remarkable job but I delivered the clubs first ever title and broke records at the club rather disappointing my own fault as I voted for Lijnders. Ā The Eredivisie is finished for another year ill be back with a European update asap and final Summary of the season and plans for the future perhaps later tonight.
