FM18: AFC Ajax - De Godenzonen

Has anyone been able to get anything above average out of Černý? I'm struggling to get anything out of him either out wide or through the middle and I'm thinking about letting him go.

I think I still have him in one of my saves with Ajax where I started as Ajax. He did alright as a inside forward. Can give you a screenshot tonight.

That's great, thanks. On paper he looks great but he's outplayed by every one else I have all the time

Mostly used as a sub, but he is doing alright and is improving.

Hiya has anyone started a save with Ajax lately.

I would like some of the experts on here to help as I am going to start a new save with Ajax soon as well as being Holland manager, my aim is to win the Champions League with Ajax with an all Dutch team and also win the Euros and World Cup with Holland.

I have other aims like bring up the Dutch league to be the best league in the world.

Other then their youth system and the Dutch league what other countries do Ajax bring in players from, I assume Norway, Denmark, Sweden etc. my aim is to keep selling my best players for good money and replace them with good young talent to sell on for profit. I then want to improve my facilities, youth coaching, staff etc until I have good enough players to have a squad full of Dutch players that I can win the Champions League with.

Any advice would be appreciated.

@Ronaldo Beckham Ajax have affiliates in South Africa (Ajax Cape Town) and Slovakia (Trencin, who I once saw referred to as "The Ajax / Porto of Slovakia"), so perhaps you should load up the top leagues in those nations. Obviously they recruit the best Scandinavian prospects, there are a few other nations they seem to like: Cerny is from the Czech Republic, they've recruited a couple of Germans (Kühn and Younes), Brazilians (David Neres and a young striker from Santos) and seem to have a Colombian connection now (Sanchez, Cassiera, Orejuela).

Cheers Zlatanera. I ended up only spending 4 million signing 3 players.

I signed Tim Sparv for just under 1m, Justin De Haas for 2m and Ferdi Kadioglu for 2m.

I managed to qualify for the Champions League group stage, I got Barca, Shaktar and a team I have heard of called HSK Zrinjski Mostar who are a Bosnian team.

I am currently unbeaten in the league after 5 games with 5 wins.

Dolberg is a goal machine, 10 in 10 games so far.

Sparv is great - I've had him on previous FM with Midtjylland and on a Hamburg save on the current one. Lack of pace may hurt you at the top level though. Kadioglu was good on FM17 for me with Ajax too. What sort of a player is De Haas?

Dolberg is outstanding yeah, shame for some reason he's injury prone. If you sell, you can probably get something approaching £100m with add-ons.

Loving my Ajax save. Domestically it is one of the easiest saves on the game, but the challenge and my objective is to conquer Europe and make the Eredivisie the best league in the world.

De Ligt and Dolberg are sensational youngsters. Consistent performers who are constantly going up. Kluivert is also a top performer and always improving. Sierhuis is a little performer as well.

In terms of notable transfers..

First season:

Sold: Kristensen, £10m. Viergever, £8.75m. Schone, £7.5. De Jong, £4.1m. Also sold numerous other 'deadwood' for up to £3m.

Bought: Kaka, Free. Fred, £16.25m. Danilio, £3.2m. Lauturo Martinez, £8m. Fabricio Bustos, £9.75m. Arthur, £18m.

Second season:

Sold: Van de Beek, £42m. Neres, £25m. Bustos, £20m. Ziyech, £18m. De Jong, £17m. Wober, £14m. Onana, £5.5m. Also sold other deadwood for little money.

Bought: Malcom, £28m. Wallace, £17m. Horn, £15.5m. Moise Kean, £45m. D'Amico, £7m. Pereira, £23m. Telles, £12.75m.

Play 424. Basically destroy anyone in my path.

You aint playing Ajax the way I am playing them Toby as I am about making massive profit each season and bedding in young players as well as signing talented unheard of youngsters. I aint having a go how you do it, just completely different way to how Ajax run their club but I bet it is fun.

I don't want to manage the way Ajax run their club. Hence why they are no where near Europe's elite. I plan to make it to the top.

My team is full of youngsters playing in an attacking formation. A formation some might call.. Total football..

Just starting out with Ajax. How has everyone set up their first team coaching staff? I want to have specialists in each position, however, Ajax won't let me have any more than six coaches, which doesn't cover all areas for maximum star rating. Any help?

I asked the board for more coaches, they granted my wish.

You're kidding. I got a flat rejection; not only that but my managerial experience is top level, ex-international footballer, pro continental licence, etc.
You'd think they'd bend a little bit to acquiesce.

Make a shortlist of the best available coaches in each area - sign the absolute top, top one or two now and make sure you have a couple of general coaches (including, presumably, yourself) to fill the gaps, go out and win the league and / or cup and ask again. If you're top at the winter break, ask as well. Or perhaps if you've just hammered Feyenoord.

So I started an Ajax save a couple of months back and I'm now a couple of seasons in, so wanted to share my progress.

Ambitions for the save:

I'm not planning on spending my entire time at Ajax, I reckon I will be spend 5 seasons there, with the ambition to win everything domestically, keep bringing through young players from the academy and to make progress in Europe. After a few years at Ajax my plan is to move to an English club there and try and take the Ajax philosophy with me.

Season 1 (2017/2018):

Transfers

image.thumb.png.392974e913f7cc53a15add5158092c7e.png

Gunnarsson I brought in to give the midfield a bit of steel, as there was no CM aside from Van de Beek who could actually tackle. Dijks left because he wanted to, and was easy to find an upgrade in the form of Perez. Schuurs was a pre-arranged transfer.

Starting 11 (no screenshot):

-------------------------Onana--------------------------

Kristensen----De Ligt----Veltman----Taglafico

----Ziyech----Gunnarsson----Van de Beek----

Neres--------------------------------------------Kluivert

------------------------Dolberg---------------------------

A pretty simple 4-3-3 with Dolberg operating as a F9, and Kluivert and Neres pushing up past him.

Season summary:

Not great. Didn't make it to the group stages, came 2nd in the league to PSV (even though we humiliated them 7-1  on one fixture) and knocked out of the Dutch Cup in the semi-finals when playing too weak a side. However there was some impressive performances, Dolberg was fantastic upfront scoring 33 goals in all competitions, Neres and Kluivert also weighed in with a fair number of goals, though both were wildly inconsistent. Van de Beek bossed midfieldand Veltman and De Ligt also formed a formidable centeback partnership. There were the elements there to form a team around.

Season 2 (2018-2019)

After the failures of the previous season I decided it was time to overhaul the squad. I personally thought the squad had too many senior players who were not of the level I wanted and on high salaries to boot as well. Also they were all slow and injury prone. I had already shipped out Huntelaar in January 2018, but he was followed out by De Jong, Schone and Viergever this summer, with also Sinkgraven being another notable name to leave the club. I promoted players from the youth academy (Schurrs, Kuhn and Lang) and wanted to play fast-paced attacking football with a youthful core full of energy and spirit. So the squad went into overhaul.

image.thumb.png.c9330c66eb6198f2f7ac6f3cabeda589.png

Obviously there was the big loss of Kluivert to Man City for 45 million GBP, with the potential to rise to 71 million GBP. However Bande, another pre-arranged transfer could take his spot in the starting 11. I brought in Paulinho to share the goal-scoring responsibility with Dolberg and Palacios was the big money signing to slot into central midfield to give us more quality in the middle of the park. Kenedy was brought in as cover for the wing-back positions in a new 3-5-2 formation inspired by Englands real life run in the world cup.

I had two tactical formations.

A 3-5-2 for away games and the same 4-3-3 for home games, with also an old fashioned 4-4-2 for use in some rare circumstances.

The 3-5-2 was:

--------------------------Onana-------------------------------

------------Schuurs-----De Ligt----Veltman-----------

Kristensen-------------Van de Beek-------------Perz

--------------------Palacios-------Ziyecch---------------

----------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------Paulinho---Dolberg---------------

Whilst the 4-3-3 evolved to:

-------------------------Onana--------------------------

Kristensen----Wober----Veltman----Taglafico

----Palacios----Van de Beek----Ziyech-------------

Cerny--------------------------------------------Bande

------------------------Dolberg---------------------------

Season review:

So how did the season go?

Well we ran away with the league, losing only twice in the entire season. The Dutch Cup we improved upon and reached the final and rather unfairly lost to PSV. Still an improvement on last year. In Europe we did great, navigating a tough group of Napoli, PSG and Genk to finish 2nd in the group, destroying RB Salzburg 9-1 on aggregate in the first knockout round before losing to eventual finalists Bayen Munich in the quarter finals 5-4 on aggregate.

Some players really shined, Dolberg though again was the pick of the bunch breaking records left right and centre. Palacios has become dominant in CM and Bande was proven to be more than an an adequate replacement for Kluivert who has just sat on the City bench. Neres had a inconsistent start of the season which led to Cerny taking his spot in the starting 11, though he is not perfect himself. Paulinho developed a strong partnership with Dolberg in the 3-5-2 formation, scoring 23 goals in hi debut season.

Season 3 (2019-2020)

The season is about to begin and Ajax is not in a healthy state. After managing to persuade Dolberg and De Ligt to stick around for an additional season the previous year with promises to develop youth they were very unhappy. Although I felt players like Lang, Schuurs and Kuhn had improved no end (gaining bids from clubs all over Europe) and were important team players all regularly starting for the team, Dolberg and De Ligt did not see it this way. So they said I had broken my promise and then I had a mini team rebellion on my hands. Cue the spine of my team being rather ripped to shreads in typical Ajax fashion.

image.thumb.png.ae61fc244c2bdd75b6234b886944567f.png

Dolberg has gone to AS Monaco for 75 million GBP, likely raising to close to 100 million GBP. Whilst he is our best player I was not so worried about losing him. Paulinho has played well in his 1st season and there were other forwards available on the market with the Dolberg cash not only allowing me to sign Buitlink and Rodrygo respectively, but also Elneny to strengthen out midfield. However our defence has been ripped from the team and this is much more problematic. De Ligt and Wober also both joined AS Monaco for 40 million GBP and 20 million GBP respectively (Wober's deal isn't in the photo as its not been confirmed yet, but its going through). Veltman, my captain, who is in the last year of his contact and refusing to sign a new one was then shipped out to Newcastle for 7 million GBP so I don't lose him on a free. Perez has also left for 4.3 million GBP as he was also in the last year of his contract and now at 30 I didn't feel like renewing his contract.

That means going into the Dutch Super cup in one day's time my senior CBs are: Taglafico, Schuurs and a recently promoted Kemper. I am currently in the process of getting a 4 million GBP deal for Nikola Maksimovic from Napoli to give additional depth. But at present, whilst I have over 40 million sitting in the bank there simply aren't many good value CB prospects out there. Whilst my forward line is strong and my midfield is the strongest it has ever been, defence looks a little creaky this year and a lot will be asked of the young players.

My starting 11 will look like this for the 2 sides this year:

The 4-3-3:

image.thumb.png.ccbc15ee841933d713d16dd7790d4db9.png

The 3-5-2:

image.thumb.png.239ad2a4746b79a9a22479853a7ee361.png

So let's see how this season goes. If anyone can recommend me a "senior'' CB who might be available to drop into my starting 11 that would be greatly appreciated!

Started a new Ajax save, trying to really focus on the youth development (4/5 opening signings were tutors). Just like in real life we didn't make it to the CL groups...

But we made it to Europa group stages where we drew, among other teams, Nice again! First time I've ever had this experience.

Between them and Everton (overrated on FM considering their real life showing in 2017/18) I'm not confident of making it out of that group to be honest.

Alassane Pléa has scored a screamer against me in each of the three games I've played against them so far as well! Only took him 2 minutes in the first group game, but De Ligt snapped his cruciate so I feel a lot more confident about beating them in the return game.

Started my 1st ever Ajax save earlier this evening. The only signing I've made is Vincent Pajot on loan from St. Etienne to add some much needed steel in the CM strata (I play a 4-4-2 with a BWM), I also promoted Kaj Sierhuis to the 1st team, otherwise my squad is as game start. Have yet to take Kluivert seriously with finishing of 9 - Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has 7 in 7 so far and Dolberg is doing even better.

One worrying thing - from game start the chairman is looking to sell, and a week after my appointment a consortium was trying to buy the club and install Frank De Boer as manager (takeover collapsed). Is this normal? I'm really excited by Ajax, I love the potential of the squad and the vast number of Home Grown players, but I'd hate to get replaced before I've even got my teeth into the game.

Comfortably dispatched AEK 7-2, and then Romanians Fotbal Club FCSB 4-0 to reach the Champions League group phase (group: Dortmund, Benfica, Ajax, Maribor - I'm optimistic).

The only offer I got was from Hamburg for Dijks, which I rejected, and he immediately demanded a new contract. Which I declined (wouldn't entertain the conversation), and he's annoyed. Like I care :D

I have had two saves now on FM18 - on my first one, a consortium that used to own Stoke City (apparently) took me over, removed my philosophies (which was fine, I built a formidable squad by splashing the cash) and were hard to persuade to expand facilities, staff etc.

On my current save, the takeover was a bunch of Belgians and it fell through, apparently they'll invest elsewhere in Dutch football. Luckily the transfer embargo didn't affect me as I brought in all my tutors early on and shipped out Younes later on in the transfer window after it all fell through.

So yeah, I think its normal. Decent draws in the CL qualifiers there! Kinda cool that you've basically got three clubs from leagues of differing strengths who are basically run the same way, then Maribor, in your group.

@zlatanera - I'm certain I can beat all 3 @ home, and at least Maribor away to exceed board expectations and reach the 1st KO round. Of course it won't go anything like that (does it ever?) but hey ho.
We did avoid some serious horror groups (Barcelona & Man City, Juventus & Man Utd, Real Madrid & Spurs etc...)

Have yet to even draw so far in friendlies, league, and Europe. 14 games, 14 wins.

@..Valhalla.. you're clearly a lot more assured in your tactical nous than me - I stole mine, focussing purely on youth development so Pajot would been a no-no for me. When I failed to get Tim Sparv I changed CM-De to DLP-De and just went without anyone capable of tackling.

Interesting to see we've both gone for 2 man attacks, and both are getting good results out of Huntelaar (12 in 11 for me). Other than my loss to Nice I've had four draws - 1-1 away to Nice, 1-1 away to Riejka, 1-1 away to nice and 1-1 away to Heerenveen (they scored 90+2 we scored 90+5 which was stressful) and one draw with an extra time penalty win - a nuts 4-4 away to De Graafschap which was scheduled during the international break so I was missing key players like my goalkeeper and other than my aging tutors Peiser (38) Kaka (35) and Pirlo (38) everyone else started the game below 85%.

You say you don't like Kluivert because of his finishing, but surely if you play a 442 you have a Winger role for him? I've been playing him as an AM-Su with Dribble More and he's doing well. In my old save his Finishing was a bit of a liability as an IF until it hit 12 though.

How has Dolberg been for you? I don't understand why he's injury prone as I can't find record of any issues in real life, in my other save he got over it but in this one he's so far been out for 4 weeks and then played 5 games before being put out for 4 weeks again.

@zlatanera - I never considered playing Kluivert as a winger, any time I click "quick pick" he's added as a striker ahead of Klaas-Jan  (although I always shuffle the lineup from there), so I just assumed he was a young raw striker with awful finishing - I really know very little about Ajax.

As for Pajot, I'm the same as you; I'm hugely into youth development. When I started the save I saw no need for any signings in the first window, so focused on getting the squad fit and up to speed. A couple of days before the window closed I lost a few CMs to injury and desperately needed one who could step into the 1st team AND had tackling ability. Pajot was available to buy for £2m but they accepted a season-long loan with 50% wages paid. He had a sparkling debut away to VVV (8.9) and his value doubled, as did St. Etienne's asking price :lol:

Dolberg has scored more than a goal a game so far, no injuries. Also no offers for him which surprised me, so no need to give him a new contract or make promises just yet (I would sell him though).

Yeah if you look, he's natural at AML, AMR and ST but his attributes scream "tricky winger". I guess because he's only accomplished at LM / RM your Assistant Manager (is it still Winston Bogarde? I couldn't bring myself to get rid of him unless Bergkamp / Stam / Van Basten becomes available) sees him only as a striker in that formation unless there's an injury crisis out wide.

Fair enough. I've been quite lucky with injuries other than Dolberg, in complete contrast to my other save where Siem De Jong played 8 games over the duration of his contract (luckily I loaned him out from January 1st season for £250k / month fee and the idiots kept agreeing to renew so I made back his transfer fee and then some). r.e. his value, should've put in the £2m as an option!

Yeah if you'll look, they signed a hell of a lot of their best players to new contracts in summer 2017 on the game, most of them to 2022. Are you playing with first window transfer budgets on or off? Either way expect bids from January onwards.

@zlatanera - no I immediately dumped Winston and hired an Englishman whose name escapes me right now (I'm not on the game atm, Terry Hutton or something like that), with vastly better mental attributes and very high working with youngsters attribute as well. Also signed Michael Johnson (JAM) as a defensive coach, and Hugo Oliveira.

I've no intention of keeping Pajot anyway, he's too old and too foreign for me. I only ever sign foreign players* who can become HG <or> in emergencies as I did with Pajot.

As for Dolberg, if he keeps playing the way he is I'll happily sell him for a large sum - I've noticed in different saves he is bought by Chelsea for mega money, as well as Real Madrid, so I know what to expect.

*foreign for the nation I'm working in.

I've been playing a save with Vitesse and have just left at the start of the second season. Mitchell Van Bergen has just been sold to Spurs for just over £3,000,000. He is somebody with a lot of potential and could be worth having a look at for those going into their second season at Ajax, as that fee is worthwhile in my opinion.

So our takeover restarted in December and took until 9th January to complete. In which time...

Dolberg-Martinez-Neres would have been an unreal front three, but now it'll never happen...oh well, there's always Rodrygo!

I'm well behind in terms of all the free transfers I'm after who are being courted by other clubs as well. We did finally get the takeover (£75m, a bargain really) and they removed Van Der Sar and my club philosphies (Attacking football, develop youth) which I had been excelling in. Tbh I would rather have stuck with the old board :(

One positive though - Klaas-Jan Huntelaar currently has 23 goals in 24 starts (1 sub) in all competitions, with 20 in 18 in the league! If we as a team continue to improve as the season goes on the national record (43 goals in a season) is actually within reach!

Yeah and even though the only way I was doing at all badly was not making the CL group stages (I was top of the league and topped my EL group as well as remaining in the cup) they said I wasn't doing well enough to change philosophies.

This is what he looks like right now. I'm worried that now I've agreed to sign him in 2019 Santos won't play him for an entire year which will slow his development. However...

A similar thing happened in my River Plate save and despite barely playing for Santos in 2019 he came alive and has been the best player in the Superliga and Copa Libertadores by far in the past two years on it (took about 6 months to get going as I waited for him to be tutored as I needed to keep his rep low in case tutoring didn't work).

So I'm confident he'll come good for me again. Will be particularly useful as David Neres currently hates me too. He wanted a new contract (I had him set at Hot Prospect for tutoring), I said no. Next time I looked it said he was unhappy because he wanted to leave for Bayern, even though I had no messages about this. So I'm sat 4th in the Eredivisie and have promised him CL football...really needing to overcome Arsenal in the Europa then!

Anyone in here a regular watcher of Ajax? I've been inspired by this piece on The Ringer despite often finding their stuff far too American for comfort, and thinking of putting my current Milan save on ice whilst I try to get properly into an Ajax save. Deleted the old ones.

If anyone has watched much of them, what would you say his ppms would be? His role? The highlights, admittedly only two minutes so not exactly in-depth, suggest he plays a bit like a Libero but as part of a 2 man central defence?

I often do an Ajax/Feyenoord save with Dutch only but even that gets too easy. I have an AZ game on the go and within a couple of seasons can win the league with Dutch only players. It helps that Ajax lose their star men and can never adequately replace them. It's also easy to pick off Sinkgraven and Ekkelenkamp for cheap. The former gets transfer listed quickly. Plus you start with Ouwejan, Wijndal, Stengs, Koopmeiners, Til, Boadu, etc.

@dothestrand I like AZ, on one of my earliest ever FM saves (so like 4 years ago) I managed to consecutively fail upwards by jumping before I was pushed from Derby, then getting sacked in the PL, ending up at AZ and bringing their performances up to a level that I could get the Monaco job. In terms of playing some brilliant football, Monaco were more fun. But AZ were great for something different - a team I hadn't heard of (but would know a lot more about soon due to the Van Gaal connection) with a cool badge, decent kits and a bunch of players I hadn't heard of but grew to love - Paul Onuachu (not an AZ player in real life), Guus Hupperts and Matias Johansson come to mind, the latter whom I've signed at least once on the past 4 FMs (although on 18 it was more just for nostalgia's sake than ability).

Got to the end of the first season in my Ajax save though. Had a false start when I tried to play Frenkie as a Libero too soon, so returned to my save point from 1 day into the save (where all the training and tutoring is set up, and staff transfer offers have been made - all the stuff that takes hours). I went a bit mad on the tutors - signed 3 goalkeepers including Romuald Peiser (Model Citizen, enough rep to tutor my gks except Onana), then also Ricardo Carvalho, Kaka, Benoit Cheyrou and Andrea Pirlo on frees. Brought in Tomas Hubschman (Perfectionist) from Jablonec too, paid £200k for him to not even get on the bench, just tutor. Only one youth signing, Tobias Svendsen who is also a Perfectionist. Sondre Rossbach was arranged in July 2017 to join a year later, might have slightly overpaid for him though, and seems unnecessary given how the likes of El Maach and Reizeger are developing now they've been tutored.

The first half of the season felt like an absolute disaster, and in some ways it was. Playing the 1st season tactics from the Caixa Futebol Academy thread got me into the CL group stages easily, but then in a group of us, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Spartak Moscow we came last. Weirdly, we only took points from Bayern (dominated 1-1 at home) and City (dominated 3-0 at home when we were already out and they already through), and Spartak came 2nd in the group. Crashed out to Zwolle in the 2nd round of the cup too, as it was played before an international break had fully ended. At one point we were 9 points off Vitesse at the top with the worst shooting accuracy in the league (under 15% at one point!!) seemingly to blame, although I apportion some of it to myself as due to rotation and a couple of knocks Huntelaar didn't get a league game until November. I didn't notice at the time but we were actually leading the league on clean sheets, and only seemed a thoroughly mid-table side due to being low scorers, affecting our GD in a tight league. From the win against City however, we went on a long win streak and put ourselves clear at the top of the league so that a late stumble (4 points from the last 5 games) still wasn't enough for PSV to catch us.

Going forward, I'm going to try turn Frenkie De Jong into a Libero as stated in my post earlier in the week. He's got the "Brings Ball Out Of Defence" ppm which should help a lot. However his 13 Stamina doesn't bode well for if we make a cup run, so I'm contemplating either building a somewhat similar shaped tactic without a Libero as a backup, or bringing in Orbelin Pineda from Chivas who comes with 2 good ppms (arrives late, gets forward) and a Kante-esque engine. My last save was on the transfer confirmation as I'm not sure I can justify making him my highest paid player on £18k per week only to use as a rotation option. Looking at perhaps bringing back some former players for tutors as 3 of my outfield ones retired in December and Huntelaar (14 det, Fairly Professional) isn't great - looking at Zlatan, Wesley Sneijder and Nigel De Jong although all three would need to drop their wage demands, the first two in particular, and De Jong may have got fed up of waiting and signed a contract extension with Mainz.

This took a ton of negotiating - went through about 15 rounds with Liverpool before they pulled out, happier to sell to Napoli anyway tbh (I refuse to sell to Man City or PSG ever).

He was valued at £8.25m so getting value, plus value again over 3 years, plus a sell on seemed too good an opportunity to pass up, given I have 4 Model Professional youth goalkeepers waiting for their chance.

Interestingly though, excluding any other in-game transfers this makes Onana the 8th most expensive goalkeeper of all time which is another way of saying that goalkeepers have been incredibly undervalued.

Decent offer for Onana  Screenshot of youth goalkeeper you replacing him with?

@john1 not 100% sure who I'm going with yet - similar could be said of much of my squad, as I have to wait for people to try to buy my players before I can settle on a team, and a lot of teams wait until deadline day which is irritating. But the main options are:

1844506394_ScreenShot2018-10-05at21_47_46.thumb.png.b8406c96f742493883afe01596a33dbe.png

Sondre Rossbach - £1m buy from Odd last summer (£500k potential appearance fees and a sell-on clause).

1732486915_ScreenShot2018-10-05at21_48_07.thumb.png.bc82406f4cfb75fb7404d40ad8e5102d.png

Issam El Maach - history says Vitesse 16/17 but no fee, homegrown at the club.

589696092_ScreenShot2018-10-05at21_48_31.thumb.png.badb20bfc6779a6cea9ec61d42ecb702.png

Dominik Kotarski - joined for £1.8m at the start of the game with a 6 month loan back to Dinamo.

Rossbach is the better option now - has a good spread of attributes, room to improve and has experience. El Maach perhaps lacks in the mentals but is 4 years younger, has a great personality and potentially could be better than Rossbach's maximum potential according to my HoYD. Kotarski is currently rated as the best potential out of all of them, is mentally superior to El Maach but not as good on the technical side. El Maach kept Kotarski out of the Jong Ajax team so I'm inclined to go for him for now with Rossbach as backup and perhaps loan Kotarski out, although then he's unlikely to become homegrown.

Still, a good dilemma to have! I also have Daan Reiziger in the B team who looks similar to El Maach, Jord Ruijgrok (henceforth referred to as Jord: Ragnarok) has 3 star potential and I also have two 4 star potential regen GKs as well, although one refuses to be tutored. My scouts' joint highest recommendation (82) is a Romanian regen goalkeeper as well but there's just no need.
