[FM2016] E23 - England to Level 23

Recommended Posts

I don't think the game was supposed to go lower than level 8 possibly even level 7.

Good win for Burgess Hill today, Dan. We started well with the wind in our favour but you looked the better side once you equalised. Second half, there was only one side in it.

Nice set up at Burgess Hill. Cosy little clubhouse and a tidy compact ground.

I don't think we'll ever be able to have a playable lower leagues database for England unfortunately

I made other checks, I have to agree with you...salisbury won the fa vase and doubled its rep...but the really strange thing is that quite all the absurd issues born in the Wessex premier League at level 9...have a look at the teams in the division, are full of great players, full of super wage budgets and produce every year a coouple of super teams that keep on Flying up the divisions without an apparent reason...moreover, i'm trying another save with the default database, playing with Gloucester with the same tactics and market strategies, and the outcome is completely different, i'm struggling (as expected) and i don't know whether i'd be able to achieve the targets...

Even with the hardcode issues it's still riveting to manage right down the leagues and try to bring them up to the top., I'm playing down in Level 11 and it's fine even with the issues, to me it doesn't matter. Horses for Courses.

I don't know if I'd get in trouble for saying this but do you think the FM franchise will ever include English Leagues down to Level 9 as straight away playable? Is their legal issues surrounding such a task?

I don't think there's any licensing issue; it's a question of how popular it would be and having researchers that they have faith in. Maybe a critical number of files need to be downloaded from Steam Workshop and enough positive feedback given there. In principle, I don't see a future integration of Level 7 at least as impossible.

For me personally, I'm not obsessed with verisimilitude; I just want a fun playable long-term LL save. So I'm okay with using FMRTE not to make my save easier but to make it harder to provide a proper challenge. I currently use it to make all my starting squad (which in this current save is restricted to just 24 - I won't transfer any in and therefore have to manage injury crises) start with CA1 and change all my youth intake to CA1. I'm monitoring JJ's observations to see what else I'll need to tweak for the second and subsequent seasons.

EEE will work...we just have to wait for it. But there's a reason we wait for there's, and others come out within a week or so of the game release. Not knocking the op's work in any way.

This file works perfectly, it's not a matter of editable items, i don't think eee can do anything about these issues

Today I will be working on Level 12, despite the issues I'm going to carry on with the database

great dan, your effort is absolutely great...I checked that despite your correct setting, the ticket and season ticket price is still random and far too high at level 11...this is why i think that the issues aren't editable...

Has anyone already mentioned this to SI in the bugs forum. I think that people who play very lower league management are becoming a significant part of the fanbase.

I admire your perseverance Dan!

Mister Astley a real specialist on this issue explains the situation perfectly:

I said this database will be better than last years and I'm hoping it will be, I've already added more leagues at Level 11 unlike last year

I wish that you used the advance rules. So that if you got promoted the league cups on lower levels wouldn't require all those precious resources.

Maybe one day when SI will be have better optimization this will not be an issue anymore.

Nonetheless, I always play one season as low as possible just for the fun of it before I turn to EEE.

Vauxhall Motors seems like a superteam in level 11 but is currently not playable...

dan, i think once you get past the lower leagues and into the football leagues the game becomes one. It depends what people want to achieve on the game, personally my goal is the prem EVENTUALLY that could take months and then when you have done that we get the next fm and so on. At least all of us have not started with a massive club with all the trimmings, we are people who want a challenge not trophies every year.

Good work my friend

I agree with you I like a challenge, & you can probably do that by limiting yourself, though a bit annoying. I remember last year and someone starting at level 24 & working there way up to the premiership (I think) with consecutive promotions & little challenge, which he was pleased with. Sounded mind numbing boring to me & pointless, but I suppose each of us plays differently.

have you managed to solve the manager issues before your release?

The only work around is to add a fake manager to every club and then add loads more to the database. If someone has time to do this then I can send you a copy of my database which I can merge with a later database

I have just looked at the FM15 Update changes, and it doesn't look like any of the issues people have been talking about in the lower leagues have been addressed.

It won't be an easy fix to make, the bugs forum will need a few examples of it happening so they can see what needs to be done.

Any chance you could add these leagues mate i can help out with info if ya need it

Humber Premier League Division 1

East Riding Amateur League

Just to let you know, the East Riding Amateur League folded over the summer.

have you tried if it works when you add some "fake" managers to the db that the lower league teams do hire them? if so then we could just add lots and lots of fake managers to the db?

I did add a fake manager (my brother to be exact) and he got hired by a level 11 team and in another test he went to a Level 13 team

any chance you could tell me what setting you have for this "manager" like ability, reputation etc so they can get hired. might be easier when i start to add an crap load of manager for this DB at some point.
