RVP to get an enforced rest for the last group stage match as well, that's a plus imo for Holland. Nice rest for RVP in preparation for the KO stage.

Think Australia can be proud of their two games so far, despite losing the games of course, they have played some very good stuff and pushed both Chile and Holland all the way.

Not bad for an inexperienced side.

Correct but pretty much out.

Australia need Spain to win tonight and then Australia need to get at least a draw against Spain in the last game and need Holland to beat Chile.

Unlucky all of that to go as typed out.

We'd have to beat Spain. Not sure what use you think a draw would be after two losses. :D

Unlikely all of that to go as typed out.

Well Australia will need to beat Spain. Spain win tonight and then a draw will put them out

Australia would need to beat Spain in this scenario.

Ooooof that was close. I felt that the Aussies did enough in the first half to earn a lead. Goal of the tournament for Cahill :applause:

That penalty was ridiculous and our third goal quite lucky but I suppose Oranje did just enough to deserve the win, in the end they were all over the Aussies.

Very happy with that. A group of kids with some important players out injured played very well today with a manager that has only been in charge for a little over six months. If we'd kept Osieck in charge and if he went with his pensioners we probably would've lost both games 6-0 like those friendlies last year. We should have a very good chance of winning the Asian Cup next year on home soil and of getting out of the group in 2018.
