TM
BBC getting geared up for the World Cup by showing the 16 official World Cup films made by FIFA http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01qq861/episodes/guide currently showing 1954 on BBC2, watched quite a few of these on ESPN Classic with the last World Cup but these are actually well made so worth a look
noikeee
The 1990 film was playing yesterday here in Portugal in one of RTP's channels, I've actually seen it a couple times and can only completely disagree with the "well made" thing. The camera angles shown are so zoomed in it's completely impossible to understand the action. It totally baffles me. It's a bit of a early 90s thing, I remember watching Euro 92 highlights and even full match recordings and it's the same, for some reason TV directors in that era thought we only ever wanted to see the player with the ball at a time. Pukey
Watched the last bit of the 1954 today, really enjoyed it. The final looked like it was a belter.
