reserves won 2-1 tonight (team was Heaton, Eckersley, Lea, Chester, Cathcart, Lee, Mullan, Hewson, Burns, Eagles, S. Evans, Barnes and Fagan came on as subs, Cathcart and Hewson with our goals), which puts them four points clear at the top the league, staggeringly :/

I'm sure I've told this story a million times before, but it was the day of my last ever uni exam and I'd been drinking since four. Sat and watched the 90 minutes in the pub, then went and slept under a tree for about an hour. Woken by triumphant txts from scouse supporting mates. Realised that their victory meant I'd won £650. Didn't really cheer me up. Went to the cashpoint and withdrew £120. Spent it all in a bar. Cried a little. Threw up. Put myself on media blackout for about a month.

A horrible, horrible time. I pray it doesn't happen again.

mart seen u scouting around for roma away on ri, are you going to go now? on the fishal trip?

i might go with some mates from here, not sure yet. they have flights and hotel booked so might join with them, not sure. my mum wants to take me to goa on holiday so dunno my plans.

Downside is that it'll probably be my final game of the season given the likely mass demand for West Ham tickets, pretty much zero chance of a FA Cup Semi or Final ticket (if we get there), and a similar scenario as far as Europe goes as well icon_frown.gif.

I'm thinking I might go up to Manchester anyway for the West Ham game. Scout the touts, get an idea of the prices, and if they're just too much then sit in a pub and watch the whole thing, and get royally wasted afterwards.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Wembley now a 90,000 seater at full capacity? The rest of this rests on that figure being correct.

So if 17,000 have gone to those "every game at Wembley for 10 years (or something)" ticket holders is that all of them? I mean are there more of these ticket holders still to take up their seats or are there just that many people signed up to that scheme and they've just got a ticket regardless of what they do with it?

If its the latter and you imagine us and any potential opponents getting 40,000 or so in total where are the other 33,000 or so going? Corporate sponsors? On sale to the general public?

I don't disagree that its a shocking state of affairs for that many seats to go missing for fans of the clubs that make it to the final, even the if it were only the "Wembley Season Ticket Holders", but surely the FA couldn't justify giving either finalist any less than a minimum of 30,000 tickets for their own fans?

The FA argument is that those tickets are 'extra' - over and above the original capacity, so it won't impact allocations to the clubs.

For the FA Cup final all the local county FA's and such like get a load of tickets.
