Jimbokav1971
There used to be a feature, (back in FM09 at least), where you could create a fan day with the idea of offering incentives to new fans to come in the hope that the occasion might be a success and you could increase your fan base. It's not in FM14. Does anyone know when it was taken out and why?
HUNT3R
I'm pretty sure it's still in the game, but you don't have any control over this anymore. The board still schedules it from time to time.
aaron1606
They still exist, if the board feel it is financial feasible & appropriate then they will set aside fan days.I had my Stockport board offer a half price child ticket fan day for a Boxing day fixture, had a bumper crowd to watch us get spanked 3-0. You can always rely on my sides to grind out a dull 0-0 on a fan day...

forameuss
I've just had one in Gibraltar. Apparently they weren't too happy with the football on show. Phillistines.

Jimbokav1971
Maybe it's just because I haven't needed it then, (still playing in original San Marino Olimpico stadium). We move into a new stadium in 3 months so fingers crossed I see it then. Cheers.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe this can be asked via a board request, no? Not at home now to check, but I remember this being an option...

It used to be on an earlier FM. Not for FM14 though. I just checked.
displaced_seagull
Pretty sure it's never been a board request option, they just choose them. My next game is one, the first home game since our takeover was confirmed, and against our new Chairman's former club - That can't just be a coincidence, and it's a bloody genius touch! - Just hope I can deliver
podunkboy
I had one managing Curepipe Starlight in Mauritius (bottom level of the FIFA World League database), we were only drawing 600 game, fan day pulled in 1,200, won the game 4-1.
Nobby_McDonald
You've never been able to create one Jimbo, it has always been decided by the board.
9sublime
I had 4 or 5 last season. But I am Bolton, who were relegated successively to the Conference before I took over, so they are probably doing everything they can to retain their fanbase.
