Couldn't get it to work at all last year (I'm blaming the ineffectiveness of strikers vs AMs rather than me) but had a great run with it in FM16. I am playing with Everton, so I do have Siggy! And Keane! But I still have Baines, so I am not sure if I should try to retrain Siggy back there as an IWB-A. It might be worth it, Baines is old. I messed around a little with a Libero-Attack instead of a Sweeper-Defend, but I'm not sure if that is worth doing yet. Coleman is great as the DW and I'm using McCarthy as the FB on the right. Klaassen is a great SS and Sandro up top. I experimented a little with the DLP in the midfield strata and didn't notice much of a difference, so I just dropped him back. This does have some promise. If I don't get bored and give up tomorrow, I'll keep you guys posted. Just played a friendly using this system and my IWB scored a last minute winner and my HB scored an absolute stunner. Conceded early to a ball over the top but that was before I put my keeper as a sweeper keeper. Seems promising. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I tried everything. Even went back to archive.org and found the thread from various dates, but the images aren't there. Here are some I had in my old FM14 game for what they are worth. This was Ackter's last iteration I think. The specific teammate is the MR The cut inside for a WB(L) is pretty much impossible to recreate now, without a PM. An inverted WB is not the same thing, and inverted WB just acts like a wingback now when there isn't a player in front of him. I am thinking about trying to adapt this to FM19 ... stay tuned. The last image (4th of the 3rd post) from November 26, 2013 works and shows the tactic as it was at that point. For some reason, the 11 player images posted November 26, 2013 go to a different URL. May need to tweak some of the roles, but the off-set CB grouping with a Libero-S didn't post any major issues I saw with the FD-D on that side. That's what I was thinking of doing for an FM19 version of this. I have not had a chance to play yet. PIs FBR - Dribble Less, Shoot Less, Sit Narrower, Mark Tighter CDR - Pass Shorter CDL - Hold Position DM - More Direct Passes WBL - none, but he has the PPMs - Get further forward, Runs often with ball, Shoots from distance - and he's both footed. I will attempt to train cuts inside from the Left Wing as well. MR - Cross Aim Center, Get Further Forward STC - Hold Position You could also make a case for giving everyone that has it available and not hard-coded "Hold Position" - as Ackter's version had Stick to Positions as a TI. But for the MR and WBL that would mean removing the Get Further Forward PI. Others have it hard coded. I could give it to the Libero-Support to replicate Ackter's using a SWd, but I'm a little more adventurous. I gave it to the CDLs and the PFs. A Stopper with Hold Position sounds a little oxymoronic, but the game allows it, so why not try it? There is also no longer an option to Clear Ball to Flanks, but I don't think that's a big deal. The keeper's specific teammate to distribute to is the MR. There might be a case to make the CMLa a Mezzala. It's pretty cool that I have Sigurðsson on the roster since he was Ackter's CWB, but I think André Gomes is a better fit these days. Siggy's acceleration is 10 now, it was 15 back in FM14. He doesn't have Gets Further Forward either. As for the transition TIs, I think having them regroup and play for the counter fits the bill for this version of Ackter's tactic.
