peterdunnebrfc
Playing as Southport in the BSP, these are the facts: Finished 6th, then 5th (knocked out of playoffs 3-0). Won FA Trophy in year two. Make a very modest profit, bank balance just over 200k. Attendances are low, just over 1k, and ground not owned. After I saved the game last night I played around with board requests and they seem willing to go pro. Would start of third season be a good time, or should I continue to progress as I am? Just worried about financial costs for little gain, was hoping to go pro when hitting L2 sometime in the future.
SRL88
I would probably wait until being in League Two before the change to professional status.

Nottingham Forest
You'll go pro regardless if you get promoted to League 2. Would the quality of player that would be interested in joining you join if you want pro? If so, then maybe. But increased wage costs may not be helpful if you can't sustain them. Full-time training would definitely help your side. But, how many others in your division are professional? I know nowadays in the BSP, quite a few sides are professional. If you feel you could sustain it, then go for it. But don't forget, your board may still turn you down.
