dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2063/64 Last season we lost out in the Champions league final after a series of six consecutive wins, the aim this season was to win it back. League Table An early loss ruled out the unbeaten season, which took the pressure off and allowed me to rotate the squad a bit more. Community Shield - the late goal took it to penalties, but we got the win. Capital One Cup - a lot of the matches were close, but we made our way to another cup final win. FA Cup - we avoided the bigger clubs in an easy run to the final, which was closer than expected. UEFA Champions League - the latter stages were tight, but we made to yet another final, which we won. Transfers - the squad was trimmed at a big profit. Squad - the squad needed to be strong this year as injuries meant squad rotation was crucial. Finances - a decent profit, despite a few expensive contract renewals. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - he equalled his goals record for a season and set a new record with 40 league goals. Shane Rofe - with David Speed gone, he finally had the chance to shine. Marin Turkalj - one for the future, but he's scoring goals now. Matthias Herl - one of a number of decent wingers who are providing the assists. Santiago Parisi - I refused to give in to his contract demands which resulted in him agreeing a free transfer to Barcelona. He'll be a big loss. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2064/65 Last season we got back into winning ways as we completed a quadruple, this season we were looking to make it five. League Table For the first time ever, we have completed a season unbeaten. It could have been even better, but we stumbled to the finish as the fixtures piled up on us. Community Shield - it was a close match, but we got the win. UEFA Super Cup - we needed extra time to win this one. FIFA Club World Cup - an easy enough win. Capital One Cup - we didn't concede a single goal in this tournament, but the final was close. FA Cup - other than our first match, this was one of the easiest routes to the final I can remember. The final was a thriller. UEFA Champions League - Barcelona were the only team able to get even a draw with us as our great defensive record took us to another easy final. Transfers - losing our legendary goalie was a blow, but I found a replacement in former player Pagliarani. Despite making a slight profit, I spent big this year. Squad - injuries and fixture congestion meant the squad needed to be rotated a lot, and every player played his part in this season. Finances - a big loss, which is a bit of a worry. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - top scorer again in a superb season. Ricardo Rincón - had a great season despite added competition for his place in the team. Billy Holden - had a stunning season. Shane Rofe - another great season, but still no England cap. André Campos - a new signing who had a decent start. League Table A big step back from last season, but we still won it easily. Community Shield - an easy start to the season. UEFA Super Cup - not the easiest game, but we got the win. FIFA Club World Cup - the usual one sided final. Capital One Cup - just a couple of goals conceded, one of which was in the final. FA Cup - Liverpool and Arsenal gave us good games, but the final was one sided. UEFA Champions League - Man Utd gave us a scare, but we made our way to another win in the final. Transfers - no transfers at all this year. Squad - it is hard to improve this squad. Finances - a profit with no transfers, which was a result. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - another stunning season. Ricardo Rincón - another great season, but he might be sold to make room for younger players. Shane Rofe - amazing, yet still uncapped. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2066/67 We couldn't repeat an unbeaten season, but we still managed to win the major trophies. Could we repeat that? League Table Not our best season, but we were never in trouble of losing the title. Community Shield - a fairly convincing win. UEFA Super Cup - the scoreline really flattered us. FIFA Club World Cup - fairly one sided. Capital One Cup - Liverpool gave us a close match, but we came through it to beat Spurs in the final. FA Cup - Championship Brentford gave us a scare, but we came through it to beat Chelsea in the final. UEFA Champions League - Barcelona were the only club to beat us, but that didn't stop us making the final, which we won easily. Transfers - it was a huge transfer window as we moved on some of the older and squad players in favour of youngsters. Squad - the squad is in superb shape, with plenty of younger players coming through. Finances - a reasonable profit. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - top scorer again. Shane Rofe - the star of the team, but still no cap. André Campos - another great season for the supporting striker. Yanis Carles - signed to make a profit on a sale, he made a big impact. I get more fun out of selling and buying players than I do winning things. Ideally I'd like to create a super squad that are capable of multiple unbeaten seasons, but I can't see that happening. I will never take those scores seriously, most people I know irl like to cheat in ways you can't even imagine. The struggle makes everything more rewarding in the end anyway. The most interesting read in your career was your struggle in the BSP. Ps: Your career threads are fantastic, you have inspired me to take Tooting & Mitcham on a level 8 expansion in this edition. League Table After a good start, a loss ruled out the unbeaten season which allowed us to relax and take it easy. Community Shield - plenty of goals in this one. UEFA Super Cup - completely one sided. FIFA Club World Cup - one sided as usual. Capital One Cup - United gave us a scare, but we made our way to another final. FA Cup - it was a strange run, but we made the final. UEFA Champions League - after a series of straight wins we had a wobble in the knockout stages, but managed to make the final. Transfers - two straight swaps in order to make money. Squad - there's a few older players who might move on but the squad is in great shape. Finances - a large number of contract renewals cost us. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - top scorer again. Rajko Pjevac - ready to replace Slowe. Shane Rofe - still no cap. Billy Holden - a great winger. Nathan Robinson - our best defender. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2068/69 For four years we had won every trophy, surely that run couldn't continue? League Table Arsenal had a good season, so there seems to be a bit of a challenge for the title. Community Shield - a narrow win for us. UEFA Super Cup - a completely one sided match. FIFA Club World Cup - a comfortable enough win. Capital One Cup - we fell at the first hurdle in a shock penalties defeat to League 1 Ipswich. FA Cup - it took a couple of replays, but we made it to another final, which we won. UEFA Champions League - Real Madrid gave us a scare, but we sneaked through on penalties. The final also ended in penalties as we were lucky to win. Transfers - we made a huge profit as I sold a lot of the older players to bring through a new generation. Squad - the average age has dropped considerably after those transfers, so this squad should be strong for a few years. Finances - pretty healthy at the moment. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - not a bad season considering he has become the supporting striker now. Rajko Pjevac - phenomenal. Shane Rofe - another stunning season but still no cap. Robert Ozimec - a potential replacement for Rofe, or maybe Slowe. Joe fuge - he got a few games but was unavailable for the cup matches. He won't be a star but who cares! dafuge
Also, how has Rofe not got a full England cap yet?! We can't be that good... They play a 4-4-2 with two DM/MCs in the centre. The two players are good, but not as good as Rofe. He occasionally gets called up to the squad, but is still yet to get on the pitch. I think he's worth building the team around, to not even try him out is madness.

dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2069/70 Last season we slipped up in the Capital One Cup, but won the rest. This season was all about trying to win the lot using the younger players as much as possible. League Table We won it easily, despite throwing away a lot of points by playing the younger players. Community Shield - we deserved it, just. UEFA Super Cup - fairly one sided. FIFA Club World Cup - we made more of our chances. Capital One Cup - we sneaked past Chelsea to make another final. FA Cup - extra time against WBA was the only scare as we made another final. UEFA Champions League - we lost a couple when the pressure was off, but we made no mistakes in the final. Transfers - not a huge amount of action, but players will be sold to make sure those youngster get more game time. Squad - the squad is superb, especially in the attacking areas. Finances - another decent profit. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - managed to reclaim the top scorer spot in a superb season. Rajko Pjevac - injury disrupted his season. Shane Rofe - still amazing, still no cap. Michael Hollerbach - he'll be playing more next season. Joe fuge - not bad from the nipper. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2070/71 With a few key players sold and a greater reliance on the youngsters, this season had the potential to be the end of our run of trophies, League Table We lost our 36th match! Community Shield - a great comeback. UEFA Super Cup - a fairly comfortable win. FIFA Club World Cup - the usual one sided final. Capital One Cup - our squad players came up short. FA Cup - after demolishing Man City 9-1, we were upset by Spurs. UEFA Champions League - we were unstoppable, only dropping points in one match with a weakened team. We were far more clinical than our opponents in the final. Transfers - a lot of action as a few of the older players were sold off to make a profit. Squad - it really is hard to find players who can improve this squad. Finances - looking great. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - he's past his peak, but can still do a job when needed. Rajko Pjevac - top scorer again. Shane Rofe - probably his best season ever. Still no cap though. Stephen Howard - he's a striker really, but he's turning into a classy winger. Joe fuge - he's been given a bigger role in the squad this year, and he's starting to look like a half decent player. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2071/72 Last season we lost out in the domestic cups, but maintained our dominance in the two major competitions. With a young squad, all we can do is get better. League Table An early loss ruled out the unbeaten season so I was able to rotate the squad without any fear of losing our record. Community Shield - a lot closer than expected. UEFA Super Cup - we made hard work of this. FIFA Club World Cup - the usual one sided final. Capital One Cup - things were looking good but a lack of discipline cost us in the final. FA Cup - we had a shocker against Championship Doncaster. UEFA Champions League - the only loss was a meaningless group stage as we blasted our way to yet another final. Transfers - a decent profit as a couple of quality youngsters were brought in. Squad - I like a small squad, but we suffered badly with injuries this year. Finances - the board took £56m in dividends at the end of last season, which accounts for the loss. Key Player Profiles: Joe Slowe - he rolled back the years as he was our top scorer at the age of 34. Rajko Pjevac - he missed the first three months of the season through injury and never really recaptured his form. Robert Ozimec - he had a great season as the supporting striker. Shane Rofe - not his best season. Joe fuge - he doesn't look too out of place, but he's not getting much better.
