So after losing 3-1 to Villa, what makes you think that even with Downing (your best player last weekend) you will beat Fulham comfortably?

The squad should have the quality to beat Fulham everyday and twice on sunday if they start playing in their top performance. Yes, even with Downing starting.

Now by judging your last remark "(your best player last weekend...") ..well go troll elsewhere and despite that merry christmas!

With the exception of 4 or 5 of your starting XI, your squad is very average though and that's being realistic. Your bench is no better than many of the teams in the bottom half to be honest and i'd say Sterling is the only player who could possibly come on a do something half decent. Think you'll win, but doubt it will be comfortable.

Great game. Downing showed up today which is great, might get teams interested in january. Hopefully Sahin gets subbed on.

It's a confidence thing, if Downing actually start performing to his best each week, do we need to sell him? in terms of the fee we get for him who would we get that is better?

If we carry on like this, we might start being as good as Villa, hey Ridley.

Well at least the 'rubbish' Downing (your best player last week) is carrying on his impressive run of form. Wouldn't say you're quite as good as Villa yet, though.

Local commentator pretty much sums this up...

If Stuart Downing gets an goal and assits than maybe the Maya's got the end of the world date wrong :D

Yup.. the good thing is that maybe Aston Villa will pay 25M to get him back :D

..and as the same commentator said "If Carragher out sprints people than we better start saying goodbyes..." :D

...lol... Fulham has been total rubbish as expected though! Good win though!

Great performance, about time we humped someone. Downing had his best game for us, and most players were very good.

One slight downside for me would be Rodgers' substitutions, but its barely worthy of a mention really. Just wondering why he brings on the two players he said needed a rest when the game was all but won. Would have been better to see him play a couple of fringe guys instead.

I listened to the first half in the car (on the way back from the Celtic game) and saw the 2nd on the telly, and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences of being a Liverpool fan for some time. We've been due a team a good spanking, so glad we got the result we deserved.

All about mental pressure for Downing isn't it. As soon as he's told he could find a new club the pressure is off for him to succeed at Liverpool and he starts to play with a bit more abandon. Looked genuinely threatening coming inside tonight. Always thought his best position was on the right. Poet, know it.
