Wolfsburg know how to pick their strikers, don't they :)))

Not really, he has been there for 2 seasons and he's hardly banging in the goals

You could say he's a poor man's Dzeko but who knows he could be a late bloomer (he's 26)

Christ that ex Juve player looks like a midget, especially when he's up against a player over 6ft

Yeah, that looked really funny when Schildenfeld made that foul on him that he got the yellow for. As if he was swotting away a fly. :)

Giovinco 5'41⁄2", Schildenfeld 6'3", according to Wiki.

He single-handedly kept them in Bundesliga in his first season scoring 8 goals in the last 8 games, scored 12 and assisted 10 in his second season. For a striker that is not a poacher, he has a solid record. His reputation up until this competition was low as he's playing in a weak club, but IMO he's 3rd best Croatian player ATM.

Good result for Croatia, not for Italy.

Italy played well. Everybody did their best and covered the field. The communication among the defenders should have been better, though, especially between the central defenders and the wing backs. You saw it against Spain, and you see it again today. Balotelli was better, and I hope he'll be better against the Republic of Ireland. Oh, Prandelli, please, stay away from Montolivo. You see that the role Motta did just disappeared when he was taken off.

Croatia have physically strong players, and they used their physical abilities today although Howard Webb should have done something for Srna. :D Mandžukić's price has gone up now by EUR 5M, bringing his total price to EUR 25M or EUR 40M for any English club.

Yup. Anyone that was interested in Mandzukic shoud have signed him before the euro.

I missed the first half [they called a meeting at 5pm, no comment...], but Italy was the usual tame side in the second half...

Nothing new really, a distinct lack of personality and the usual sitting back after having scored.

Gonna bet a hefty sum on Croatia and Spain drawing 2-2 :D
