Croatia finished 2nd in group F in qualifying with a record of 7W 1D 2L. They went on to beat Turkey 3-0 in the play-offs. They warmed up with a victory over Estonia and draw with Norway.

Ireland are competing in a European Championship tournament for the first time since making their debut in 1988.

Croatia have not lost a European finals tie over 90 minutes since being beaten 4-2 by England in their final group stage game at Euro 2004.

The wife has had a few quid on a Croatia 3-1 win (traitor), I'm hoping for a HT/FT of Croatia/Ireland which is at 45/1.

Our midfield always looks pretty poor compared to most other nations, but we have the spirit and fight!

Respect for everything he's done for Rangers and Everton, but for the NT he is pure garbage. And to think he benched Eduardo, our 2nd all time scorer for him is slightly depressing. Wouldn't mind if Jelavić made me rethink though.

i've never understood why our media doesn't provide unbiased commentary for ireland matches. do itv broadcast in ireland? i can't imagine irish media provides as much coverage about the english team.
