Smurf
Anyone know what this means?
hluraven
Basically, don't get relegated
Smurf
Fair enough. Never saw it before. I do know the meaning of the word lol. But I guess it's to build the squad in that league.
Coentrao
Sometimes it shows "stay clear of relegation", not sure of what's the difference, sounds like that stay clear is more demanding.
mije1983
I would say consolidate is more demanding than stay clear. I read it that consolidate means to build for the future as well as avoiding relegation, so that the team can consolidate it's position in the league. Like Stoke and Bolton have done since getting into the Premier League.
rinso
I would say consolidate is more demanding than just "stay clear of relegation" If they meant stay clear, then that is what they would say. Consolidate means (to me) to establish yourself in that division, stay WELL clear of being relegated, and to make a solid platform to go forward. Guest
Having experience a number of relegations the pressure to stay up when the board ask you to just stay clear is considerably less than when they ask for consolidation.
Coentrao
I stand corrected then, really thought it was the other way around
Smurf
Cool stuff. Thanks. I went for Consildate, as offerings towards signings or transfers were just the same. I had a feeling it was an "establish" thyself in the league and relegation was a no-no.
