jimmyt86
I heard on the radio during Milan's drubbing of Arsenal (:-D) that their are new rules to be introduced in League 1, and I presume below as well, from next season where clubs can only pay wages up to 65% of their turnover. Is this going to be introduced into FM?
Nottingham Forest
There are wage caps in League One and Two now iirc. If it does happen, before FM13 and SI can find a way to implement it in time, then it probably will be in FM, eventually.

gechal
Some of these new rules make the game less fun, I hate the new 5 subs only rule. This 65% rule is obviously there to protect the smaller clubs, although in league 1 its going to create a massive gap in clubs finances. The bigger clubs with 20k gates are going to crush the smaller clubs with just 3000 gates. It will also create a financial gap between league 1 and the Championship, similar in scale to the Championship and the prem. My local club Colchester have the second lowest average gate in the league, and are currently spending 105% of their income on playing staff. Next season will be even more of a struggle than this one. At least it should stop clubs going into administration, something I have never seen on fm anyway.
