duffy89
For me, the next 2 attributes I look for are Determination and Motivation. Then maybe level of discipline and working with youngsters.
DREWBOYYY
I look for Physiotherapy, Man Management and Determination.
masticator
fitness maybe?
duffy89
I always assumed the fittness attribute was for fitness coaching only so wouldn't apply to a physio. Just as physiotherapy wouldn't apply to a fittness coach.
Stefanius
I always look at physiotherapy first and then use the compination of Motivation, level of dicipline and Determination (same as coaches, never realized that before) as a way to filter out the best of the best. masticator
so physio, motivation, determination, man management and possibly working with youngsters. i still think fitness would be connected or a bonus if its high.
willoconley
from the manual Fitness- This reflects a coach’s ability to work on the fitness side of the game, and as such should be one of the key attributes to look at when hiring a Fitness Coach, and less importantly, a Physio. physiotherapy and fitness are all i look for. Falahk
apart from physiotherapy, what do people consider good stats for a physio? thanks. physiotherapy is the only attribute that a physio use, all other attributes are irrelevant and have no additional effect for that staff role its a bit silly, but that's how it work in the game

Sussex Hammer
I believe if I remember rightly that all a physios stats tell you is how good the are at predicting as to how long a player will be out for rather than being good or bad enough to bring someone back earlier or patch them up quicker, I may be wrong?! Yeah, this is my understanding. So all I care for is the Physio stat.
Scf101
So, does the quantity and quality of your physios have no effect at all on the condition of your players (probability and length of injuries)? And subsequently it doesn't make a difference if you hire a single physio with crap stats or 8 physios with maxed out stats for physiotherapy? That wouldn't make much sense. A clarification would be very much appreciated!
Soverntear
Physo, man management, LOD, determination and motivating. I base this off of FM genie froma couple years back. under staff search it shows there best potential role and the ones with 80+% physio as there best role had high attribute in those categories. It was based on limited data though but its the most in depth review of physios that I've read. Can you post a link to that test please? That seems weird since one of the line we can use in the board chat when we want to increase physio number is "if we increase the number in our medical department, not only can we treat injuries better but we can do a vastly improved job of preventing them in the first place"
rekluse
I used to only look at 2 attributes, physiotherapy and determination. However, now I look at fitness coaching as well since the manual was updated to say that it is used by physios. I would assume they wouldn't update the manual if they hadn't updated it in game or if it were always in game and they wanted to clarify it.
R.P. McMurphy
There is lot of confusion and misinformation floating around about this. Can we have someone from SI to say the truth about his?
Ryknow
SI rarely explain how things work in this game. I read the test that Ranquelme mentioned when it was first released. It showed that there is no need for multiple physios and the physiotherapy attribute was the only one that mattered. So an obscure scout with physiotherapy of 20 is the same as a world class one with 18 in motivating, level of discipline, determination, etc, as well. I'm hoping it's changed but I doubt it. A top class Physio should be able to identify the recovery time better and slightly reduce the impact it has on the players attributes. They would rarely reduce the amount of time unless they had advanced techniques but leave that for the specialists. Physios should also have a workload, as in reality a Physio would struggle monitoring 50 players. Even if he could, the level of quality of care would reduce. So maybe implementing a star system like coaches could work, with more attributes having an affect.
duccio
Why employ a physio at all then? Sometimes they prevent you from signing a player who happens to be injured, and then the window of opportunity to acquire the player could well close before he has regained his fitness. Sometimes they prevent you from signing a player who happens to be injured, and then the window of opportunity to acquire the player could well close before he has regained his fitness. Surely it would still get blocked. The player has to pass a medical regardless of whether the club has a physio. I've never not had a physio so not sure if what it's like in FM, whether you get any feedback about the length of time the injury will keep the player out. duccio
I have not tried it on FM13, but in the past I have had a signing blocked by a physio, and then being successfully completed after sacking the physio and approaching the player again. davidbowie
They won't. I personally (at top clubs) only sign physios who have 20 for the physio attribute. The next thing I look at is their wages how cheap they are to bring to the club. If I have a choice, then I'll get anyone who has good motivation or discipline, but that's not a big deal.
