Man Utd were apparently not very happy in my save with how things were going for them, so in the winter period they bought Milinkovic-Savic. And Aouar. And Ziyech. And Rafa. And Mario Fernandes. And Digne. And Kluivert. And Olmo. And Rui Dias. And Viktor Fischer. Total sum: Over €600m

Not quite in the same ballpark numberswise but recently relegated Leicester went mental in the Jan transfer window. They were the biggest spenders in the entirety of English football despite being in the Championship, and spent £50m on deadline day alone. They sit fourth in the table with a decent shot at 2nd place but still it's a heck of a gamble...

Nice!

My scouts just found this Colombian Goalkeeper:

Is he the son of the famous scorpion kick goalie? Allthough his eccentric attributes are far too low.

Has Kevin Keegan been appointed a third time?!

On a slight tangent, how come Bournemouth are playing at Ashton Gate?

Mate, we've scored 14 more than anyone else but the only people to concede more than us are the bottom 4! We're in 4th place too, so the entertainers are back baby!

This whole situation of Mourinho as Spain manager is more and more hilarious the more you think about it

He left his job as Portugal manager, even when in the past I'm sure he said he'd love to coach Portugal and win a World Cup with them, to be the manager of Spain. Spain, a country that in recent history has been known for adopting the Tiki Taka, and then they  go for Mourinho with his extremely direct brand of football, the complete opposite

And this is even funnier when you see who he replaced

Spain went from Mr. Tiki Taka himself to Jose Mourinho

The opposition keeper held the ball and my striker closed in on him. Alone in the final third, they stood and stared at each other for a few moments. It was a standoff. Their keeper decided to have a go. His kick thundered off my striker and into the goal. A classic pic for the ages ...

Just noticed a 99 year old Ole is still interim manager at Man Utd, on FM 19, in the year 2072!

Definitely a bug worth raising in the bug forum. Did his attributes go down with age, or was he rated that much lower in last year's game?

This is how he looks at the start of FM 19.3 update, which is the database that the 99 year old him is from. His attributes have mainly decreased, with his knowledge attributes taking the biggest hit. His attacking and mental coaching skills have improved though. I think the motivating stat of 1 is irrelevant, because as staff get quite old it will eventually become 1 in value. This must be the same for user managers as well, as my 75 (should be 76, it moved my date of birth 1 year forward) year old manager now has a motivating stat of 1. It was higher when I was 22.

Motivation decreases over time? Is this for all staff all the time? Why is that?

I don't know about all staff, but I have found this fairly common with managers in a lot of my saves. Even as far back as FM 2017. Maybe this needs looking into. I wonder if FM 2020 is the same.

Well, at least he has a good rating in leadership..... maybe he will become captain of a starship when he retires

Did you make him captain?
