And why did Ronaldo get a better rating than the guy who scored 7 goals?

Assists maybe??

IIRC, they both got perfect 10.0 ratings, but Ronaldo had more assists.

24/51 were from outside of the box, too - its not like we weren't getting into the box.

And all they needed was 1 shot on target to score... Typical fm19. Stopped playing it and literally won't touch another fm game for a year or 2. Addiction will bring me back to fm17

To be fair, they scythed us open on the counter, which is just a risk you take playing an aggressive possession game like that. It wasn't a long range screamer from one of their amateur greyed-out players with 2 Long Shots or anything ridiculous like that.

I dont know if this has been posted before. First time in FM I've ever seen this personality: "Obsessed/concerned with money"

Either San Lorenzo's DoF didn't read the fine print, or we've gotten a price comparison site in our latest scouting package...

2 Different clauses thats based on regional or within countries. Like some spanish players have release clauses that are specific to going countries usually England but now they're doing it outside Europe.

It tells you that though:

I've been testing out claassen's Netherlands database before starting my main FM19 career (there's a bug in the Dutch second division which allows youth teams to participate in the play-offs). Anyway, something rather interesting happened in the second season of my test save:

HXEx6r7.jpg

TOP Oss were bottom of the Eerste Divisie with eight matches to go, but they finished the season by being promoted to the Eredivisie! A late run of form saw them qualify for the play-offs by finishing 3rd in the Fourth Period (the teams above them were Jong PSV, who were obviously ineligible, and Cambuur, who'd already qualified). Oss then knocked out Fortuna Sittard and top-flight De Graafschap to secure the most unlikely of promotions!

This season is insanely close between so many teams both top and bottom.

My game in hand is vs Arsenal away. 5 Teams could win the league, and Leeds in 13th could still conceivably go down!

Let's have an unpdate on this...

Getting 85 points and coming 5th must be pretty gutting though I would imagine!

Several seasons of the 10 I've now played it would have been enough to win the league!!

Tbh, 78 points for 6th is impressive too...

Also Blackburn got relegated on goal difference...ouch

Another screenshot from another test save. Who knew that lightning could strike twice?

England retaining the U20 World Cup in 2019 is especially surprising, because they have actually failed to qualify in real life.

I find he's underused by the AI managers. It's victim to Man Utd having Lukaku, Sanchez, Martial etc. Plus the AI often buys the likes Icardi so Rashford ends up losing out (just like the real Jose tbh)

Ah, I was more surprised that he ended at Spartak Moscow of all places, particularly after that season at Schalke.

Weird thing is they buy icardi and then leave out lukaku and then have players like rashford rotating. It's weird, and the fact that they go weird places is astonishing. Have players like 21-25 going to china like wtf.

That is rather odd. Guess they wouldn't sell locally and he stagnated too much for the big clubs

The China thing happens a lot. The game is yet to catch up to RL where players have stopped flooding there. The odd one still goes, but most don't

I know the Afghan league doesn't have much going on but gee wizz!

A couple of versions back I reported a bug where Steve Coppell were hired by an Indian club and then retired the next day, then rehired again to same club weekly. The SI fellow who looked at it saw that it had happened for 5 years or something. Poor Steve Coppell were never able to retire...

I've noticed a couple of interesting things happened on my current Bundesliga save:

2075562873_Screenshot2019-02-01at15_02_41.thumb.png.60274f98b83cc27bc17a511eac48da37.png

1st season City won the league on goal difference (but effectively on goals conceded, as they both scored the same), and Leicester were relegated (they won the inactive Championship 2019/20 under the leadership of Marcelo Bielsa).

97541808_Screenshot2019-02-01at15_05_30.thumb.png.98a879bddc32986ac304730e8b0a1cd5.png

In 2019/20 Montpellier won the French Cup but got relegated, meaning 2/3 of their squad is up for sale and they'll compete in both the Europa League and Ligue 2 next season (if this job was available I would take it, as that's just so unlikely and a human manager attempting it would probably get sacked).

1508668786_Screenshot2019-02-01at15_07_06.thumb.png.5e251e5671b4ab97677f838ce6306ec8.png504863672_Screenshot2019-02-01at15_07_12.thumb.png.0e39849f578c3fb7cf9f96636d06056f.png

not only did Bayern finish 4th in consecutive seasons (and both times well out of the title contention), but Hoffenheim went from 16th to champions in the space of a season after Nagelsmann left them and dragged Leipzig down 4 places, and Mönchengladbach went from 14th to 5th.

Oh, and Roma went from 7th in 2018/19 to 1st in 2019/20 after hiring Leonardo Jardim, despite clocking up a £130,259,750 profit on transfers over that time period.

And both teams that knocked me out of the CL (Barcelona and Liverpool) lost the final (to Real Madrid and Bayern, respectively).

And RB Leipzig lost the Europa League final two years in a row, both times 1-0, to Chelsea and then Milan.

To be entirely fair, we've seen things like your Montpellier cup win happen in real life too, with Wigan winning the FA Cup in the 2012/13 Premier League season and getting relegated, meaning they were in Europa despite being in the Championship.

Similar things with your Bundesliga results - the last few seasons have seen teams moving all over the place, with Koln going from 5th in 16/17 to 18th in 17/18, and Bayer going from 12th to 5th.

True, I actually forgot about Wigan. But its still a pretty rare thing.

when you start a Man Utd save, stroll your way through a surprisingly easy UCL group, securing top spot with a game to spare, only to find Real Madrid, A Madrid, Barcelona, Juve, Roma and PSG stumbled their way to second place and you could draw any of them in the next round...

PHEW !!!!!!!!
