I saw Biffy at Sonisphere in 2011 and they were probably one of the best bands I have seen live. If came off the back of all the X-Factor crap they were getting and they came out and blew everyone away with how good they were.

I like Eminem, not to the extent where I have all his albums or I'll go out of my way to listen to him but I have a couple of albums and very rarely turn him off. He's very, very good at what he does.

I went through a phase of listening to Linkin Park when I was in school. I wouldn't say I like them now, but if they were at a festival I would happily see them.

I'm the same, I had a phase of listening to them and now not so much although like you, if they come on I don't have a problem.

What are people up to over the week-end anyway?

Absolutely nothing at the moment. My parents have more of a social life than me this weekend although I'm considering going to the dogs but it's just the cost of it all putting me off.

I was a regular visitor to the dogs when I worked for William Hill because I got free tickets every 2-3 weeks :D.

When I worked at Napoleons Casino, we used to get free entry into the dog track because it was the same company. So used to go and watch the dogs and a bit of speedway

I'm just getting ready to go out in the hope the weather gets a bit better by the time we leave. We was going out for the day to park or something but not sure exactly where we are going now though. I might go to Tynemouth market again and see what books I can get though.

How about you? Any plans?

Need to nip to Pets at Home this morning to get a few things for the cats, and then I think me & the mrs are going to go to one of our locals this afternoon, have a few drinks and play some pool. My Mam & Dad have the kids all week-end so we are taking advantage of that.

It looks like the sun is trying to get out here but it is still rather cloudy. How is the mini-Cleon otherwise known as Lily? :D

She is the little devil and makes my life hell, it's fantastic. She's just starting to talk more regular and knows quite a few words now. I want to see what accent she ends up with though because whatever it is will be ****ed up:D

Wanted to take her to park and go for a picnic though via a trip to Krispy Kreme :D but its been raining in last 2 hours here.

Such awful weather here today :thdn:.

Threw it down in Canberra as well. Strangely enough, it's not exceptionally cold at night though. :S Weird.

They were good live. I missed a couple of songs because I wanted to get slightly close to the front for Blink and Paramore. Was well worth it in the end, a mate was selling a ticket for $50 when they were originally $200 IIRC. I spent $180 including the bus there and the hostel.

Off music, have you watched any football out here? I've not managed to get to a game. I'm scared that the quality will scar me. One thing I miss about home. Just got my tickets for the British Lions though, syked.

I used to go to a the Brisbane Roar games quite reguarly and the standard isn't too bad. You wont see any games in Canberra though as they dont have a football team based there as far as i know, think they only have a womens team. I also have tickets to the British lions game in Brisbane. Looking foirward to it, especially after how they played last night (against a fairly poor side mind you).

Going to play some FM and then head to the pub for a few recovery beers.

Yeah they don't, it's a rugby league area. I don't think Canberra's known for much apart from some stupid balloon in the sky and a bar called Mooseheads haha. As these guys said:

Canberra is not the the place to have a league challenge. You neeed to have a good start to yhe league. Best to start with a new league. best to be a new team and have a new start.

I missed what i was trying to say as well. Way too many beers to be fair. I don't even remember making the above comment. Anyway a break from the norm can't be a bad thing.

I'm glad you've said that and it wasn't because I was going stupid! Hope it was Corona that did it, or Tooheys, I've really got into that stuff since i've been over here.
