dafuge
Takeover at Glentoran is complete, no tycoons but there is a Nigerian consortium. Looks like there has been a liitle bit of investment, with a £10m rise in the value of the club and improvements to the training facilities. It should be interesting to see if they make any big moves in the next transfer window.
dafuge
Bourneview Young Men - Carling Premiership - 2067/68 Last season we won back our Champions League title that we had previously lost, this season we looked to retain it. League Table We improved, but so did Tobermore as they start to look like genuine title contenders. Domestic Cups - a clean sweep. UEFA Super Cup - a narrow, but deserved win. FIFA Club World Cup - a convincing win. UEFA Champions League - we were storming it until we met the fast rising Tobermore United. We should have won the first leg, but didn't. They made us look ordinary in the second leg. Glentoran in Europe - at least they qualified, but this was another poor season in Europe from Glentoran. Linfield in Europe - they struggled for goals in the group stage but made a decent run in the Europa League. Tobermore in Europe - just amazing, as they beat Real Madrid in the final. I attended the match and cheered them on as if we had won it. Newry in Europe - unlucky in the qualifiers, but they had a great run in the Europa League. Squad - the squad is a bit shaky after the recent changes, so there might be more work to be done. Transfers - not a lot of action after last season. Premiership Transfers - not a lot of big spending about. Key Player Profiles: Marcus Bickerstaff - he's now scored 925 club goals, 1030 including internationals. Kamil Moreau - he's still doing well. Samuel Fernández - a great year for the young winger. Craig Ricketts - the World class Canadian. Pat Daws - the new hope. With us losing in the semis I don't think it will make a difference, but the runs in the Europa league might make up for the losses elsewhere. It will be interesting to see. dafuge
They should already be established enough to continue on themselves. I'm not convinced. Both clubs have wage bills similar to ours which we are able to maintain by selling players for good prices. Since the prize/TV money in NI is tiny, they are going to have to cut back quite a bit to keep going. I think Tobermore could be in trouble soon, they have a £76m loan and have just built a tiny new stadium.

Tbarnes88
Hi Dafuge, Absolutely brilliant stuff (had to sign up to reply to this, but have been reading for months) Just a quick question really, do regens get younger as the game goes on because as I understand it you don't use any editors but would Pat Daws and Marcus Bickerstaff have not been 12 when they joined Manchester Utd and Bourneview respectively? Regards.
B.W.G
Normally they take into account the years when they joined their respective academies.Normally the youngsters coming through on the youth candidate days could have been at the club 3 or 4 years by the time they reach the candidate days. Also Dafuge, your career has been epic and it is brilliant to see the massive improvement in Northern Irish football. Also a late congrats to Bickerstaff for passing 1000 goals

dafuge
Do you find yourself wishing to use Bickerstaff less now considering his waning talents daf? I can't wait to drop him and bring through another star striker, but he's still scoring more than a goal a game so it's quite tough to leave him out. He's 31 so I think he's still got another couple of good seasons in him yet before I start dropping him.

dafuge
Bourneview Young Men - Carling Premiership - 2068/69 Last season made history as the second club from Northern Ireland won the Champions League, but with the two tycoon owners walking away the future progress of the league is in doubt. League Table The lack of investment at Tobermore seems to have had an impact already, but at least Glentoran are on the up. Domestic Cups - just the one loss which could be blamed on international call ups. UEFA Champions League - we were in superb form in Europe, but we threw the final away. Glentoran in Europe - it was a disappointing result after coming through a tough group. Linfield in Europe - really unlucky to go out on penalties. Tobermore in Europe - really unlucky not to make a second successive final. Newry in Europe - they had a few good results but then fell apart in Florence. Squad - with a small squad we suffered badly with tiredness and injuries. Transfers - the departure of Moreau was the big story as I wanted to bring through a younger striker. It was a big mistake. Premiership Transfers - not a lot of action from the other clubs. Key Player Profiles: Marcus Bickerstaff - suffered a bad injury which ended his season early. Sandrinho - our top scorer, but he's not the sort of quality I am after from our main man. Izudin Mehmedovic - signed as an AMC, but he might switch to a striker. Craig Ricketts - the beast. Michel - had a decent season. saab600
Daf I think it would be fascinating to see a summary of the various players you've had through your youth system (that have made it) from the point they were created to the high point of their respective careers. Any information about facilities, finances etc would also be really good.
