Fernando Davis
http://www.euc-fm.tk/leagues.html What a tight league, teams swapping and changed places all season and any 1 of 6 teams could win league with 2 games to go. amazing end to season. all the better it was in a network game. Wiitastic
6th place Chelsea no chance to win the league, 6 pts back goal difference of 12. WOuld have to be the luckyiest club in the world for them to win the league title
Swills417
I've experianced closer. Four teams on 80 points.
Falahk
Fernando Davis: the full top 5 also seam to have rather poor defense Swills417; how did you manage to let in 37 goals as arsenal?
FlyMyPrettiesFly
http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/9480/weirdscoreboard.jpg This was from FM07.
AR
More interesting question will be - when was the last time one saw the opposite end of the league table being close? In all the screenshots above one teams seems to be the ultimate punching bag. IMO SI have yet to master the relegation dog fight aspect in the FM series. Hopefully they'll give it a good look for this years version
markyosullivan
How do you play a network game? I've never played one before.
tom_numbers
More interesting question will be - when was the last time one saw the opposite end of the league table being close? In all the screenshots above one teams seems to be the ultimate punching bag. IMO SI have yet to master the relegation dog fight aspect in the FM series. Hopefully they'll give it a good look for this years version I have a few times. Admittedly, one team often is in way over their head (much like real life tbh), but I've seen it run close. stevie_G_32201
Yeah, i dont have a screenshot, but i once lost the league to arsenal on the final day of the premiership by a +2 goal difference.
lurkingwithintent
I've experianced closer. Four teams on 80 points. And Blackpool surviving on goals scored!
Nobby_McDonald
I've lost the title before by one goal thanks to the champions scoring an injury time equaliser on the final day of the season.
Dr. Cheesesteak
Man, those are some amazing screenies! I try to keep track of as many leagues as possible every season I play, but the closest finish I saw: if it's too small to see (wtf imageshack???) Top 4 go 84, 84, 82, 82...then 5th is like 67 haha I'm sure there were closer ones I just didn't see, but again, I usually check the top 7 or 8 UEFA leagues to see how they finish. manworker
Pretty close at the top and the bottom. It was interesting to watch how the last few games turned out.
pret
Needed one point to win the league. Same story next year except I lost 1-0 at Liverpool in like the 53rd minute. Horrible. Blitzed the competition the season after - 101 points!
stevvy
Well in the 2013/14 Championship season, Blackpool won the league on 85 points, but after that it went: Stoke 77 (+29) Coventry 77 (+18) Leeds 77 (+18) Portsmouth 77 (+14) Bolton 76 (+16) QPR 76 (+13) Sheff Weds 76 (+9) Stoke got 2nd place and automatic promotion on goal difference, Coventry finished ahead of Leeds on games won/head to head, Bolton got into the playoffs on goal difference. So basically 1 point and 20 goals between 2nd and 8th.
