hooper19
Afternoon chaps, After 15years of PC windows based Football manager, I recently bought a macbook laptop - immediately followed by a new copy of FM2011 on the new Mac format, via an online download purchase from Steam. Wanting the new transfers, features etc. I soon after downloaded the 11.3 patch from http://www.footballmanager.com/news/www.footballmanager.com/patches (official website) only to then realise the game would no longer run as i would be prompted for the disc to be inserted upon the home screen. (which i dont possess having downloaded the game digitally). Long story short - ive clearly messed up and downloaded the wrong patch. Does anyone know which patch I should now run to fix this? Or should i just re install the game and try the 'Mac esellerate' patch instead? Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks very much (Just to clarify, it was the mac patch - the top mac option 'Download Patch 11.3 (Mac Disc)' that I installed.) slipknot67
Go into your steam homepage and make sure auto update is switched on for fm11, then steam will apply the correct patch for you. I think You'll need to uninstall and reinstall the game first though to get rid of the unwanted patch.
danzman
if you run on stream then you shouldnt have downloaded the patch as it does it for you. The patches are for disc version only
