Croguy
I just wanna clarify what this means. Does it mean for the players not to fall over when being tackled or does it mean not to go to ground to make any slide tackles?
Eles Gergo
Stay on feet------> Don't tackle the opponent unless absolutely necessarie. Your defender will follow the his opposition and will try to get the ball from him if the right opportunity arrives, and will only tackle him if no other options are available. robertcornell68
Wow, I wish there was a "don't dive" shout. My lot are constantly falling over and rolling around. Especially the fullbacks. Anyway, "stay on feet" just tweaks tackling down a notch.
Eles Gergo
Try to eliminate run with ball option, maybe then they will concentrate on passing rather then diving.
robertcornell68
Try to eliminate run with ball option, maybe then they will concentrate on passing rather then diving. Already do. I think they're just a bunch of cheaters. I just wish they were good at it.

Johnny Ace
I just wanna clarify what this means. Does it mean for the players not to fall over when being tackled or does it mean not to go to ground to make any slide tackles? It reduces player tackling ie from Hard to Normal, or Normal to Easy. It helpful to hold off stronger teams or reduce fouls

Croguy
Thanks guys for that clarification. While on the touchline subject, I just need to know for one more instruction and thats Take A Breather. What would this mean - to stop running full speed? SnakeXe
Turns down tempo and closing down IIRC.
Robsabbaggio
Is there a touchline shout that effects time wasting?
SnakeXe
Retain possession probably does as part of its effects. Time wasting is largely defined by the strategy though, I think.
llama3
Is there a touchline shout that effects time wasting? contain strategy, play even safer i think may be linked to that. but the more defensive your strategy the more time wasting your team does
Robsabbaggio
Thanks guys. I hate going too defensive as this just seems to invite pressure, I'd much rather force them back. But it would be nice to couple this strategy with taking as long as possible over corners and throw ins like the AI does.
llama3
you can go into tactics, team instructions, advanced and turn time-wasting to maximum in a game, yet you can also ask them to retain possession etc. i personally find holding onto the ball is the best defensive tactic. so often i will retain possession, sit deeper, play wider so we have more room to keep the ball in. i often set this to defensive, standard or control strategies. it works a treat! robertcornell68
There's a slider in tactics that does exactly that. You can waste time on "overload" if you want. It can't be changed with a touchline shout.
