Fraggle
Something I've always wondered about is the importance of stats vs ability. Simply put, if I have a player whose ability is 100 but all his stats are 20, and another player whose ability is 180 but has all stats at 10, who is the better player? I always focus on ability and to be honest the only stat I pay any serious attention to is stamina.. I wonder if I'm playing the game wrong!

SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted February 13, 2011 SI Staff Share Posted February 13, 2011 Its impossible for a bad player to have 'great' technical stats or vice versa as ability is directly linked to a players technical attributes. It is however possible to have players who aren't fantastic in ability but have sufficient physical attributes to make them an effective player ..... Declan Barry
I would say stats, if a player has 180 ability he could have more 10s but less 15s making him a worse player in his position and therefore less effective.
