Ratinho
You do, they just don't do it publicly afaik. I suspect as he's being absolutely slated by almost every Sunderland fan, and everyone else who's seen it, that he has been told to do this anyway. Sunderland don't need their stock to drop any lower. What did he do to get sent off in his other 'debut' this season? Hideous little c unt.

SI Staff Olly Kenney Posted May 2, 2006 SI Staff Share Posted May 2, 2006 He apologised straight after the game in an interview with sky, still had his kit on. It was a bad tackle, but i don't think he meant to injure Diaby and he did look sincere in the interview. Remember that Diaby put Campo out for quite a while with a late tackle in the FA Cup game, but i don't remember too many people having a go at him for it. These things happen, not worth getting worked up over it.

Ratinho
Do you remember the Diaby challenge? Clearly not if you are comparing. He may have apologised after, and i'm sure he didn't go out with the intention of injuring anyone. When he went into that challenge, he went for the player and wqent to hurt him. It's as clear as a very clear thing.

SI Staff Olly Kenney Posted May 2, 2006 SI Staff Share Posted May 2, 2006 Well looking at the replays i just thik Smith was late and Diaby was too quick for him, was a bad challenge but i believe he was going for the ball. He's apologised about it straight away and should be left at that.
