tigerhgrrrrrr
Last match, playing aginst big underdogs who like playing against my usual 451, I stuck with this formation and drew 0-0 ! Now as the better team should I have changed formation or not? Although I use this example, I am really asking - what should you do to counter this Ass Man report? Kadatherion
Nothing, imo. That report only points out a statistic about previous matches played by your next opponent: if they performed well against teams with 4-5-1 then it says so, but the reason for those performances might well be the other teams' fault rather than that one's merits. For instance, you're going against let's say Milan, which had 4 previous matches against teams playing 4-5-1; Won all of 'em, but all of the opposing teams were relegation ones: it will give you that report, yet we both know it wasn't the tactic itself the reason for those wins, don't we? As such, really, it has very little meaning most of the time. And even when it has some value, even if just a statistic one, changing tactics - unless you have another one maximized in match preparation - can only do more harm than good 99% of the times.
