I have now returned to the old game after getting it to work

Again no teams made it past the 2nd round of the FA Cup with Cricketenhead and Youthampton making it to the 2nd round

The world cup was won by France with England going out to Sweden in the second round. Sweden's goalscorers were Ibrahimovic the recently crowned world footballer of the year and Frank Lampard scored England's goal icon_biggrin.gif

England are currently second in the Euro 2012 qualification with Czech Republic and Romanaia in their group

Bradwell Athletic: Same Manager.

Dynamo Bluez: Gorge Borg sacked. Hired Mick Waitt former Sherwood Utd manager.

End of Season Update - 10/11

This season could have been the best yet with one team becoming a league team and no teams relgated from either division. Read on to find out if this happened...

Blue Square Premier

So now 6 teams played in the Blue Square Premier with 4 of them occupying mid-table positions. However Westfields came close to the playoffs again finishing just 2 points off, but the biggest chase came for Downs United who finished 2nd just two points of Camebridge the eventual winners

It looked like it was going to be two seasons in a row that none of our teams were relegated but there was one unfortnate team. This year also saw Cressington playing in the Blue Square North which they convincingly won

So Pollards Hill, RH FC and Cressington will join the list of teams now in the BSP. Now for the playoffs...

Blue Square Premier Playoffs

Downs United became the first team to reach the playoffs and started by playing Halifax Town away in the first leg. They started well with highly rated loan star Gael Katuka scoring in just four minutes. However a 60th minute equaliser and a late penalty saw Halifax win

Downs had it all to do in the second leg and they stormed into a 3-0 lead at half time. Halifax pulled one back but that was not enough to stop Downs going into the final.

The final threw them a tough match against Mansfield which despite taking a half time lead they eventually lost 2-1

Blue Square South Playoffs

The semi-finals kicked off with AFC Ironz v Middleton Town. Despite having a three injuries Middleton stormed on to win by 3-1 against the run of play with the Ironz having dominated

The Ironz had to win this game now away against Middleton but were 2-0 down at half time. They pulled a goal back in the second half but eventually lost to ten men Middleton 3-1 again

The other semi-final was between TJ FC and RH FC. The game saw two early goals from both teams but a 65th minute winner from RHFC put them in the driving seat for the second leg

The second leg was kicked off with an early penalty for TJ FC which was slotted home. Two second half goals however from RH FC including another penalty won the tie justfully as they had dominated the chances

So the final was between Middleton and RH FC. The tie opened a tense affair with very few chances. However in the second half the game opened up and both teams scored within 5 minutes of each other. It inevitabley came down to penalties. But all five players form each team cooley slotted their penalties home. So it came down to sudden death where the pressure got to Middleton and they missed as RH FC scored

The FA Trophy was won this year by Westfields who beat off a mid table BSP team Southport by a 2-0 scorline

The Premier League was eventually won by Arsenal with Liverpool and Tottenham taking the FA Cup and League Cup

Arsenal also made the Champions League final but lost to Barcelona

End of August Transfer Window Update 2011/12

So another new season begins with all clubs strengthening their squads. Unfortunately none of the lower league teams returned but the rest are all already in thick relegation and promotion battles.

Allithwaite Rangers: Gary Mills resigned. Former coach Ross Weane took over.

Bradwell Athletic: Same Manager.

Cider Heads: Jeff King resigned, currently no manager.

Clanfield FC: Sacked Jamie Leigh, hired caretaker Ross Hart and sacked him two months later. Joe Dryden took over former Ass manager.

Cressington United: Fred Davies resigned, currently no manager.

Cricketenhead Football Club: Same Manager.

Dinamarca FC: Still no manager.

Downs United: Same Manager.

Dynamo Bluez: Mick Waitt resigned. Hired Michael Westwood former coach.

FC Cardiff: Keith Downing resigned. Former Intercourse Force manager Dean Thomas took over.

Highwaymen Club: Still no manager.

Intercourse Force: Dean Thomas resinged. Hired Bobby Houghton former India manager.

Middleton Wood: Neil Harris resigned. Former Pollards Hill, Allithwaite and Dynamo Bluez manager George Borg hired.

For the first time two teams made it past the second round! Youthampton will travel to Norwich and Bradwell will travel to Preston both still in the Championship. Cressington and Middleton also made the first round but were beaten by League 1 opposition
