GazTheDoood
12th, not bad really, bit of consistency, a couple of inspired signings and maybe an outside chance of the playoffs... On the other hand, no big signings, no consistency could lead to relega... Lets not think about that. Btw, Ridleys, awesome updates, proper quick and that. Ridleys
End of Season Update - 08/09 So.. the second season has just finished and it was another fantastic season. Lets have a look at how it went... Blue Square Premier With 2 of the teams now playing in this league lets see how they have done. Have they escaped relegation? Or are they going back down? League Table Team Stats Player Stats Manager of the Month Awards Player of the Month Awards Young Player of the Month Awards Players' Select So then from the screenshots you can see that Cricketenhead Football Club made the playoffs, will they get there back to back promotions? They were drawn against Rushden & Diamonds in the Playoff Semi Finals. The first Leg was to be played at Cricketenhead Football Club and was a very evenly matched game with it ended in a 0-0 bore draw. Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings The second Leg was again going to be a hard game for The Cricketers as they needed a win and as they were playing away from home it would make it even more difficult. Rushden eventually won the game with a 'tap-in' at the back post from a corner. Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings I guess it's another season then in the Blue Square Premier for both Cricketenhead Football Club and Westfields FC. Blue Square South Again another close season in the Blue Square South with the winners winning by only 1 point! Lets find out who won... League Table Team Stats Player Stats Manager of the Month Awards Player of the Month Awards So, Downs United win the league and with the Playoffs to come 1 more team is still going to get promoted, will the Playoffs be as exciting as last year?! The Semi-Finals Were started off with Bradwell Athletic at home against Youthampton. The first Leg was fairly matched with both teams having an equal share of possesion. The game ended 1-1 which is a fair result. Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings The second Leg was a great game with 5 goals, although there could have been plenty more. Youthampton won 3-2 but after being 3-0 up Bradwell didn't give up and afer missing a penalty in the final minute they could have drawn. Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings The other Semi-Final was between Clanfield FC and Salisbury (who were relegated from the Blue Square Premier last season). The first leg was to be played at Clanfield. What a fantastic game it was, with 7 goals, a missed penalty and plenty of entertainment. The game ended 4-3 to Salisbury. Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings With Youthampton now assured a place in the Final both of the two teams gave everything to try and join them. Again another thrilling game with Clanfield ripping Salisbury to shreds with a fantastic 3-0 win! Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings So it was between Clanfield FC and Youthampton Athletic in the Blue Square South Playoff Final an amazing 2168 people turned out for the final and if they were a Youthampton fan they were not dissapointed. Youthampton dominated the whole game and won 3-0 with a fantastic hat-trick from 20 year old Andy Pugh. Match Overview Match Stats Player Ratings Champions: Downs United Promoted: Youthampton Other News: Intercourse Force are now the Poorest team Pollards Hill are back in the Blue Square South! After being relegated last season.
